New Killington rumor.....

.....I heard from a very good source that Killington will open for skiing this weekend, top to bottom on the K-1. Look for an announcement tomorrow or early Friday. (weather and snow conditions permitting) They will trumpet their improvements to the snowmaking system as allowing them to open much faster than normal with a premium skiing product.

After last year, they don't want to be embarassed by and lose skier visits to Mt. Snow and Sunday River. The intention to open early has been kept under wraps because they don't want to "tip their hand" to the competiton.




If Killington is open this weekend I'll be there...anybody else???

Look at the webcam...i have to believe with the low temps expected tonight, that when the sun rises tomorrow they'll make the decision to open. they've been blowing for awhile now.

Sunday River is open..I'm hearing rumors now that Killington is opening Sunday which sucks because it's too far in my mind for one day..the old owners of Preston Smith, Ski LTD and ASC would open Killington with no hesitation but the new owners suck and are stringing us along......I hope there is an answer by tomorrow at Noon so I can ski this weekend within 6 hours..

I'm prepared to drive to Sunday River..I'll see tomorrow at Noon what I'm doing but damned if I do damned if I don't I'm skiing this weekend somewhere..two days in a row...

Eleven inches of new snow at the peak in the past 48 hours and we're making snow!

That's right! The World's Most Extensive Snowmaking System is in on! We're making snow on Rime, Reason, Upper East Fall and High Traverse in the Northridge area.

Wax On! Scheduled opening day is Friday, Nov. 14.

Don't forget the Wobbly Barn's annual Halloween Party on Friday.

The Daks where in good form with lots of really good skiing, to those that want to ski but don't want to drive. I would look at Plattekill its not to far and last I heard the skiing was amazing. Your going to have to hike but then again some of you could use some hiking. LOLZ

I'm not driving 3.5 hours to Plattekill to earn turns..and today the snow is most likely melting really fast..It's looking like most likely the weekend of November 14th at Mount Snow..I need me some lift served so I can make lots of mad steezy laps..

looks like Kton is opening Sunday. I'll be there.
