Anywho I think anyone that skis/snowboards is cool. I have no hate for boarders and I hope they have no hate for me.

you know we think the same of all the kids on snowboard.com. its really the not like that though, majority of kids on ns like snowboarders and dont hate them becuase they ride with them.

since this is posted in park and pipe, im guessing you are saying that skiing is better than snowboarding for the forementioned?

first off, who gives a Fu#K about your opinion?

second, most people who have ANY skill can recognize others for talent. i only snowboard but have no problem riding halfpipe or park with people on skiis. everyone is there to have a good time.

the only people that bother me are annoying kids in the park who think they are so good and just constantly brag about how good they are and bug you.

yeah thats why I love this board to. I dont hate snowboarders... I ski with a couple of them, although my friends and I do have a friendly little war going on between skiers and snowboarders. I just dont like the snowboarders who run over the back of your tips.... they deserve a ski boot to the teeth.

as long as we keep gaining quality people and the moderators keep doing a great job this will always be a positive place to talk about skiing and riding.

Skiers aren't better than snowboarders. Snowboarders aren't better than skiers. I skied for a long time. I didn't like the snowboard crowd. Then I tried snowboarding. I'm a snowboarder now. Six seasons and I love it more and more with every ride. I still have my skis, just in case I feel the urge to dust em' off and ski. I skied once for about 15 minutes out west. Once in six years. It just doesn't seem fun to me like snowboarding does. That doesn't mean snowboarding is better, just more fun for me.

agreed, i wanted to smack this idiot(snowboarder) today at the hill. there was just one baby rail and a table in the little park and I kept hearing him going on how "i swear to god im so sick of seeing people going 270 onto this thing" it was more his tone of voice that got to me and i just said "im sick of people taking snowboarding so serious and not having any fun" i dont think he understood me or really even knew i was talking to him.

its all about having fun, thats why we all do this. right?

I was their saterday. it was only the one person that i ran into. so it wasn't as bad as some mts. i think the one one that i've been to that doesn't have an adbunance of people like that is BC

Most mods on a lot of boards will simply lock a thread like this right away, and thats what I thought would happen with this one. But it is nice to see that it did not turn into a flame war, more of a love fest.

The staff here really likes to believe that we can pretty much allow the users to moderate themselves which is basically what happened here.

All the staff wants is to be part of the community. Jeff and I originally started this board just to have somewhere new to call home, with no other reason for starting it. We had Nick, Glenn, Adam, and Rob come on board and all any of us want to do is talk about snow and meet people. Thanks for coming along!

Even though I am pretty late to this site ( I joined November 6th) I don't necassarily want this site to grow to 5,000 members. I was talking to Atomic Jeff earlier. It's nice that people on here are polite and most people respect other peoples opinions. I wish there were more women on this site but the skiing riding demographic is mostly male. What is ns.com? This site gets me hyped up about skiing and when I can't be on the mountain I like writing about my favorite sport. If I wasn't a skier I don't know where I would be in life right now. I'd probably be doing the Wall Street thing and be working alot more and spending less time doing fun things. This website definitely has improved my overall ski experience because I have alot of people I can chat about and skiing with and people I can ski with. Papasteeze is super positive and his kids will most definitely be lifelong participants in the great sport. Ski999 is super knowledgeable about racing. I don't get how skimom is a Doctor and gets to ski so much. Skifreak will one day become a powder hound. Racing chick survived a horrifying injury and we even have a representative in Northwest Montana. I wish I found this site earlier but now that I've found it I'm not going anywhere. Baseball is fun to watch, golf is cool to but skiing is just so wonderful. Everybody keep posting...alot. I can't get enough of this site.

I totally agree. I don't like how there are soooo many people over at ns.com, its like your a nobody unless you always pick the biggest fight and become an attention whore. Here everyone pretty much knows everyone, and like you said people are polite and respectable

I'm not going anywhere. It's becoming a routine to hang out on this site when I'm having my post skiing beer and snacks and also when it's slow at work. Give Greg a break he's a die-hard skier and pretty good considering that he didn't start until age 19. I wouldn't have wanted to drive 95 miles through crappy roads. I know Greg would get more days in if he could drive up the night before and you let him crash at your place. For some reason I think you have enough room in your house for one more person. I actually yelled out Atomic to a lady wearing the same ski jacket that you have today in the lift line. She did have short hair though .

I've often thought of that before. I really like how this site is such a relatively small community and everyone seems to know everyone else. Those other sites are so cluttered with people its hard to get a sense of community and is why PASR is so great.

At least we have the quality, if not the quantity...

i like the fact that theres not a million different people just randomly starting arguements just to get some attention..
