conditions were soo sick today. jumps are all awesome and everything thats out right now is super sick. the staircase needs a little poppier lip to be able to disaster to the middle down but other then that everything is great.

I'm on bright and early tomorrow at 7am. I'll see if I can carve it down a bit.

could you also cut down the lips of almost all of the rails and boxes? Every down rail set up right now is awkward and almost a "jump down" onto?

My Saturday night was filled with nightmares about driving into the mountain on Sunday morning to find bare, muddy trails. To my amazement, I crested the hill in the drive to find the slopes still covered and mostly white. I knew we had a lot of snow out there but even I was surprised by how well we weathered Friday’s and Saturday’s rain and warm weather. The groomers had pulled another miracle out of their hats!

Today is a bit blustery but sunny and warm and the snow is soft and granular. If you didn’t look at your calendar you would think it was early March. That feeling won’t last long however as winter makes a comeback.

Temperatures in the low 20’s tonight and tomorrow and lower than normal humidity should yield some huge piles of dry man-made snow. Conditions will be better and better each day and it might all be capped off with some natural snow late in the week.

I actually saw BC from my parent's place on Christmas and was surprised to see as much white as I did. Good job as always Mark & the whole BC crew. Don't know what you sacrificed to Ullr this year but whatever it was it worked.
You don't need poles to ski.

Just got back from a morning session. Park was decent for what they have to work with post rain. Jump line was really nice. Not very crowded either. Should be great tomorrow after some fresh manmade snow.

Tomorrow night we're going out to make some changes. The plan right now is to completely redo Black Bear from the yurt down (at least). It's supposed to get down to 17 tomorrow night so hopefully new snow and old gross snow from the rain will get churned up for some decent conditions this weekend.

Nice.. can't wait for some new stuff. Conditions tonight on some of the trails were pretty icy.. a few had some huge ruts (including one in Black Bear Park). ah well, we were spoiled there with January conditions a full month early...

so i'm not the only one who finds all the lips onto any down rail to be weird then. its really strange trying to 2 onto something when you're just dropping down onto the rail.

the prices in the bar are quite reasonable compared to most other ski areas i've been too. blue's bar is more expensive for smaller cups of worse beer.

Any snack for under $5 at a ski area is a bargain....do they charge extra for butter and syrup??? Free plastic silverware....
