Hey All,

I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am and it was in the upper 20s with a rising sun. In the house were NMSki, JFDan, PARidge, MBIke Mike, Mrs Snowbunski, Kim K, Dirtwolf, C1er, BenM, Hoodie, Johnny Law, Mixilplix, Mute, Ryan, Justo, Jimmy Shopey180, Spider, Enjorales, Pops and many others.

Second civilian OG six pack and I started on Sidewinder which was decent machine groomed frozen granuler some narrow spots as expected. Paradise was a carpet and very good coverage mostly. Razors was consistent small cookies and lazy mile was decent a little loose.

Both the OG six pack and super summit safari six were running. Widowmaker to midway to lower main was stiff and Burma was ok although slick in the corners..I even skied vista to checkout the pond skimming set up and the water looked cooler than cool…ice cold.

I then ended with a couple paradise runs and another switchback, it never got to spring on conditions while I was skiing but I’m sure by now there’s some mashed potatoes. Fun parking lot but it never got that warm which was the theme of most of this ski season.

All in all we had good to excellent ski conditions the majority of the season…pow days were sparse but it sure was a cold one with lots of packed powders. Of course Blue is hinting at a possible reopening but I don’t think it will happen.
Just back from a cold, sunshiny final Saturday morning at Blue mountain, the ski resort located in the ridge and valley physiographic portion of the Appalachian mountains. Pulled to Pearl Jams elderly woman and I got sad because the "hearts and thoughts" from this ski season are slowly fading away. Either way ..In the house today were jfdan, Johnny law, Dirtwolf, Benm, mute, Airhead, enjo and many others. Conditions were much better than expected. We were lamenting what was to come while booting up, and on the way up razors looked like something out of a sci fi movie. However we were all pleasantly surprised. NMDW, lazy, Paradise, Burma, Vista, midway, side etc. all skied pretty good with some nice grip and the ability to open things up in spots. You had to be careful however as there are more holes, and what was holey is now even holier. Still decent coverage all things considered. Sad that tomorrow is it for the season at Blue. It was a good one. Looking forward none the less as the weather looks nice. Ski you then.

	Hey All,

I’m back from a fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived in the lower lot at 710am and it was in the mid 40s under overcast sky’s. In the house was everybody except Root and Zonked…even Ski2Live was there.

I started out with some of JFDans egg casserole and a couple mimosas along with a Boston cream donut. Then hit the slopes and it was creamy to start. First skied challenge which was ok, then over to Barney’s bumps..I just doodled around a few bumps but skied the whole lower line later and it was radical. Then I skied lazy mile which was alright and Sidewinder which was springlike. Back in the lot and had a beer and breakfast pretzel wrap.

Back out for another session and started with Barney’s bumps then the chute, then switchback which was good except for two people on the final stretch. Coming soon was super soft and I finished up on Razons edge which was good especially at the top where there was a good texture. Back to the lot and Craig from the Bethlehem ford crew made me a Bloody Mary, I had a Maryland pit beef sandwich, a rib and various other things..I didn’t go to crazy cause I kind of had to shit.

All in all fun times were had, good skiing and there’s still some ski season left.
Arrived around 11:30 to 42 degrees and a bit of wind. Didn't know what to expect after Biblical rain and warm temps. Razors was ungroomed and had me a little nervous but found conditions to be firm with some grip. Kinda had to pick your way through the top section, but the lower part had decent coverage. Side has the bare spot up top, but when you go around the last bend the coverage is getting weak. NM/DW still has pretty good coverage. I never made it over to the Main St side so nothing to report on that. They must have groomed NM/DW and Side at some point cause the snow was pearly white and looked divine, but man was it super soft and super slow. Razors was RoD with its firm surface. C1 and Kurt with some of his crew in da house.

Skied the first hour and saw BFG & crew, C1er, and the CB Cruiser. 32 degrees when I pulled in and partly cloudy. Got on the snow right before 9 and started on the MSE since the quad line was way longer. First run on Lazy was nice with good snow and coverage. Falls was a bumpy and firm.

Second run on Razors was just holding on. Firm and the opposite of smooth like Falls. NMDW was pretty good. Couple spots on the right to avoid but still has good coverage.

Upper Main, Challenge, Coming Soon, and Switch closed. Sidewinder has a 20 foot entrance up top, which was already ankle deep sugar when I went through. The rest of the trail has plenty of snow and the 3d features are way better at this size. Took a run on everything open before heading to work and Lazy first run was the ROTM.

Snow will be v nice once it softens with the temps but after first tracks it opened up to either cookies or Wilford Brimley sugar. Sad that it might be my last weekday morning of the season.

	Hey All,

I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at dark o’clock and it was in the mid 40s under mostly cloudy skies. In the house was everybody except Salty, Zonked, Hoodie, Root, Toast, Matt Edge, Sibhusky and Skidude.

Second civilian OG six pack and I started out on Paradise which had white snow and good grooming. Lazy Mile was similar but a little more texture. Repeated Paradise then Widowmaker to midway to lower main which was pretty good. Coming soon is getting pretty thin and I hit a big rock. Razors was pretty solid and rough and uneven but I’ve seen it worse.

I finished the session attempting Barney’s bumps which were slick, another lazy and ended on Paradise. Fun mellow parking lot, everybody is saving their energy for tomorrow’s party. I got three bottles of champagne on the way back from skiing and ready to party rock as well at the biggest sausage fest this side of Munchen or at least Mr. Dunderbaks.
Fun day at Blue today. In the house (that I saw. But I'm oblivious) we're JFDan, atomicskier, Dirtwolf, Ryan, Ben, mbike, mix, nastar Glenn and lots of others. Guns were ablaze very early on. Excellent, top notch conditions those first few runs on vista, mid, lower main. Grippy and fast snow. In fact that particular run held the whole morning which was nice. Next up was lazy which is indeed open. The snow wasn't bad but it was filled with rollers and divots (and people). First run on it was good. Cookie free too which was a plus. Kinda narrow though meaning lots of braking, especially later on. Coming soon was a mess, slick and divots everywhere. Didn't ski paradise. Overall a good day but the crowds ultimately descended as did the race team who was seemingly everywhere today. All told it was a good day and the crowds did seem a bit spread out more ... especially those first few runs when everyone went to lazy and we got to rip vista, mid, main on great snow. Perhaps the runs of the year so far.

	Hey All,

I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot a bit after 820 and it was in the mid to upper 30s under partly sunny skies. In the house were Bethlehem Ford Crue including Jimmy, Tele Matt, Atomic Jeff, Hoodie, Johnny Law, NMSki, Mark, Oz and many others.

Started on the quad and quite a line up. I started on challenge which was pretty bad but at least consistently bad and no cookies. Pretty large bare area around the middle on the right. Next skied sidewinder which was alright and still bare near the top…seems like they blew snow places that didn’t need it.

Coming soon had pretty good semi spring snow and just the right side skiable at the end of the in run and the left side beginning of the headwall. I liked Switchback the best and the last section very narrow. I skied switchback a few times and a full corral at both high speeds operating. I ended the session with Widowmaker to midway to lower main and midway was starting to get creamy.

March 20th and it’s crowded..What the Helly…I remember when after March 1st it would start emptying out. Oh well more than once they’ve closed before March 20th as well…we are living and skiing in the twilight zone..50 degrees out and I was sweating like I popped a molly, sat in a sauna, ate spice food or went through a field sobriety checkpoint.

$20 lift tickets are dumb charge more Blue..basically welfare for skiers and most are wealthy dumb. I’ll save my senior pass pricing rant for another time..charge the people with the most money and free time who use the mountain the most the least. Dumb dumb dumb.
Hey All,

I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am with some valley fog and the temperature around 30 degrees…the fog burned off right away revealing sunshine. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Enjorales, Pots, Hoodie, Dirtwolf, Toast, BenM, JFDan, PARidge, Mute and Schifdawg.

The OG six pack was not running so began on the quad. I first skied paradise which was pretty nice a step softer than frozen cord and smooth. Then razors which was similar nice snow, down Main Street and the cord had cookied up already, razors got cookied up and challenge had crispy cookies. Sidewinder had pretty nice snow and due to my cat like reflexes I avoided the bare spot.

Lazy Mile initially was apparently good but cookies when I was on it. I ended the session with my first run down Burma in a few months and went through Yeti park for the culture.
Rode from 9 to 11ish..Things were in great shape all things considered. Shocked that the stuff they put down wasn't sticky. Couple of sus spots on Razors and NM/DW. The big booster on NM is gone so you can really give the top turn a good run. Some bare spots on Switch and Side but nothing to slow ya down. Airhead, BF crew and an Atomic sighting this morning. Tomorrow AM should be nice.

From the parking lot I could see Barney un groomed but after a few turns up top it pretty much is in the process of rigor mortis. Coming soon is pretty bad , sidewinder up top is gone but lots of snow on the rest. ROTD homestretch lol.
Hey All,

I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 840am and it was mostly sunny with the temperature in the upper 30s at the base and upper 40s up high..mad inversion Yo!! In the house were Atomic Jeff, C1er, Oz, BethlehemFord guy and Jimmy.

Only the quad was running. First run as paradise which was pretty firm but also pretty smooth and one lane of loose granuler. Lazy mile had excellent grooming with some spring corn at the corner. Sidewinder was firm and pleasent enough. The worst snow I encountered was on the falls and right after the falls I don’t think they groomed and it was herky jerky.

I repeated Lazy and Paradise a few times and it got slightly softer but the snow set up to much overnight for boner doner spring conditions at least in the morning. The steeper runs like razors and challenge looked pretty terrible but by afternoon probably semi spring. Now back at work like a dork. I might go back tomorrow I’ll play by ear.
Hi all... Just back from a fun morning at Blue mountain. In the house today were BenM, Askier, Schif, enjo and son, NMSki, jfDan, Mark, mixl and lots of others. Walked out this morning and immediately felt like I overdressed. Was semi clear and 55 when I left but in the 40s and foggy in the lower lot. This meant, of course, inversion on the mountain. The bottom was pretty thick fog wise and the top was clear and felt like the beach. Snow was ok to good to very good in spots. Spring like and was firmer than expected. Upper main, switch and freefall may have been the ROTD. I did enjoy side too. Some areas were rutted out and bumpy. After skiing @enjoralas broke out the grill and good times were had. Good day.

	Hey All,

I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. Everybody was in the house except Toast, AngryHugo, Zonked, Schifdawg, Salty and Johnny law. It was in the upper 30s under overcast skies with Pea soup fog on the top 2/3 of the hill.

Second civilian OG six pack and I began on Paradise which was way better than expected, it was soft cord. I repeated Paradise then skied Sidewinder which was real nice soft cord and the root rollers are smaller. I then skied Switchback which had nice soft cord on the right side. Razors edge was open initially and I didn’t get on it but then closed for race training.

I repeated switchback and sidewinder then checked out Coming soon which is experts only. It had been groomers and the far right side was super smooth…the far right side is all the far east and reminded me of the Far East Movement because I was feeling fly like a G6 and ended up skied coming soon four times in a row milking the last of the corny cord.

Fun mellow and a bit chilly parking lot and in the fog on the drive home I hit that huge pothole by the Appalachian trail super hard and stopped at Philly pretzel factory for carbs.
Hey all. Back from another fun session Blue. In the house today we're JFDan, mixl, Askier, Dirtwolf, Mark, BenM, Enjo (and I think I saw pops) and a few others. Conditions were better than yesterday but overall just ok. Rode the OG 6 all morning. First run on NMDW was pretty dang good. Switch was good as well but the best conditions today were on lazy so we skied it multiple times. Didn't try freefall or challenge. Side wasn't bad. I even did a midway to yeti to burma run. Went yeti because main looked terrible. I didn't ski it but others who did ski main said it wasn't good. It was cloudy with some flakes to start but the clouds (really unique looking ones today as a matter of fact) gave way for some really nice sunshine about halfway through the sesh. Overall a very fun day.

I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am and in the house was everybody except Johnny Law, AngryHugo, Zonked, BenM and Toast. The temperature was in the upper 20s at the base and 33 degrees at the upper lot entrance, mad inversion Yo!!

Third civilian OG six pack. I started on Paradise which was one step better than frozen cord. Then challenge which was similar conditions and smooth enough. Main Street was crappy small cookies…Lazy mile was deep thick sugar. I repeated challenge again and still ok…Sidewinder was decent the root rollers are less pronounced. Repeated challenge again and amazing how much that run goes downhill in an hour but there were a decent amount of people out and about.

I ended the session with more paradise and got on X-ing earlier as well. I’m sure by now it’s starting to become spring conditions. Now at work like a dork with my chic fil A and customer in 45 minutes. JADIP

	Hey All,

I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 830am and it was in the upper 20s under overcast skies. In the house were Johnny Law, Atomic Jeff, Airhead, Billskis, Oz, Bethlehem ford crew including Jimmy and crazy Kathy.

I started on the super sunmit safari six and Main Street especially upper was like a western groomer..so good. Up the quad to challenge which wasn’t that good herky jerky rolly polly poor grooming job. They blew snow on paradise and it was the elephant snot variety so I skipped it. Switchback still closed after a snowmaking assault. Law and AJeff skied nightmare dream and I skied sidewinder which was OK snow but the root rollers are annoying. I then skied nightmare to dreamweaver and good snow but I hate the park set up.

We went back to Main Street and it was ok, no more western groomer. Lazy Mike had nice snow, the falls was chunky. After atomic Jeff left me and Johnny law ended up on the lift with Billskis who’s mostly a lurker and a giant fan of both of us. We skied the coming soon ditch and was good for 3/4 of it, just enough snow to be edgeable and I didn’t hit any rocks. Coming soon was boilerplate as it was ungroomed. I ended up skiing the whole mile for my final run and the last stretch had the crap fresh snowmaking.

Now back at work like a dork gonna push more rocks than Wesley Snipes in New Jack City. JADIP

In the house was everyone except GSS, Toast, Schif and a few others. After parading my wife's fancy umbrellas in the lot we made it to the turnstiles around 7:38. Snow conditions were wild today. Off road skiing is probably the way to describe it. It's almost as if the soft snow from the warm temps wasn't fully groomed smooth last night / this morning. Choppy, bumpy, lumpy etc. Free fall was the best run for sure but certain runs were borderline treacherous if you got too much speed. Give it a 3.5 out of 10 overall.

After skiing I grabbed a summit s'mores latte and planned to go home and watch the mens hockey gold medal game. Since blue kept flashing the score on the board at the race shack I said f it and watched the rest of the second period and all of the 3rd at the bar, then we all watched overtime and the gold medal winning goal from Dirtwolfs phone in the lot. Party atmosphere for sure and after the game winning goal, USA pride flowed through the lot like the miller lattes into red solo cups. The snow fall was pretty much non existent and what happens tonight is anyone's guess. Either way...fun day. USA USA...

	Hey all,

I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am and everybody was in the house except PARidge, AngryHugo, PSUFrankenstein, SaltyAnt and Schifdawg. The temperature was in the mid to upper 30s under overcast sky’s.

I was like fifth civilian OG six pack as some of the scanners let people out early. I skied Paradise first cause challenge looked bad and it was alright refrozen snow but smooth. I did paradise again then switchback which was alright although some pebbles and thin areas here and there. There was also a giant skeet spot that went from shuttle to lower paradise.

I hit up challenge and it was pretty solid and not that smooth, lazy mile was decent and I skied that a few times. Coming soon was surprisingly good pretty smooth and I skied that twice. Crowds were moderate to heavy, it didn’t seem as crowded as last weekend but almost as crowded.

Fun parking lot had a few beers and some banter, seems like every week another PASR got his wife pregnant, we are a fertile bunch…as I said before I’d have about 1,000 kids if my old tube socks could get pregnant.

ski most of you tomorrow it might be snowing.
