Hey All, I’m back from another fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 828am and it was 38 degrees under mostly cloudy sky’s but much warmer up high as there was another inversion. In the house were Atomic Jeff, BFC minus BFG, Rodney, Oz and a handful of boomers. First run on Razors was nice but not as good as yesterday. Paradise was a steezy cord corn carpet..then we ventured over to Main Street which only had 2-3 tracks on it and was delicious smooth cord corn top to bottom…we repeated that a few times then I did a run on switchback which was decent but not as good as Main Street then finished with a couple more Main Street runs. All in all a fun session and again better conditions than expected. By now it’s surely full on spring conditions. Back at work now and according to my office manager the phone has been ringing all morning..grate7 points

Tonight was amazing, the dreams that spring skiing are made of. We had a Tuesday night kids ski club Becky, Blake’s kids, and three generations of @enjoralas. Highlight of the night was heading down razors with munchkins plowing down the slope. Core memory was made tonight.6 points

I think its powder country and woody's world. I'll probably check those out tomorrow. Today I'm doing an in bounds guided tour which lasts most of the day. I'll be doing 3 runs off the cat between today and tomorrow too. Looks like they got around 6" overnight5 points

Phone was low on battery so didn't take many pictures after lunch. Left around 2...stopped at the Ogden river parkway trail and took a walk with the fly rod but couldn't find any fish, water is running really high and muddy. Brighton was awesome, hopefully should get a good day in at powder mountain tomorrow5 points

First skis/boots/poles I owned were Little Gap used rentals. Main differences: - rental gear is a lot better 4 decades later - I paid for my skis myself (ok I paid for theirs myself too) - cooler Camelback logo They've been skiing on seasonal rentals for 9 seasons (after 1 of daily rentals). Now they will have pretty equivalent skis and boots to keep as their own and take to college in 2.5 years, rather than returning them each May. When they decide to upgrade that is on them Next I'm going to look for a car for them to start learning to drive on in a month. It will also be well used and the best deal I can find that will keep them safe. SMH at taking my kids skiing 120x and getting called cheap by someone who lives in a motel and whose most consequential financial decision is what beer to open at 10am4 points

800”…at Mammoth..they got plastered with like 13 pineapple expresses…staying open until July…at least…it would be cool to ski on my birthday at a non indoor place and without traveling to Continent. It’s on my radar. There’s even a small airport near mammoth which is one of the most remote airports this side of Kathmandu Nepal..crazy. https://snowbrains.com/mammoth-mountain-ca-summit-passes-800-snowfall-for-the-season/3 points

a guided tour of Powder Mountain will probably result in a fantastic day there. Good choice. I remember skiing Powder Country, taking the bus back up, and it was OK, but then we did another section that required the same bus ride back up, and i think it was Woodys, which was tons of fun, except of course when Phillycore did a superman and bonked his head some.3 points

Bumping the 2023 TR as part duex begins tomorrow. 19 inches reported in the last 24 hours with snow showers forecasted for Flagstaff tonight into tomorrow which could mean a few more inches for the mountain. Tomorrow could be good.2 points

You missed his joke completely but the other ski area in good old carbon co is Jackson Frost. Edit and big boulder. With 3 areas Id say that makes Carbon co the ski capitol of Pennsylvania2 points

Platekill offering half off tickets for passholders of other mountains this weekend, would not be a bad alternative if they do the same going forward after this weekend.2 points

Damn. I was really hoping for next weekend to keep things going. Shawnee is throwing in the towel this weekend. Montage and Greek havent said anything yet about closing. I dont really care about Camelback, but JF will be open next weekend. Does anybody know whats up with the dude carrying the toaster?2 points

Just got home from a wonderful afternoon at Blue The True! Snow was mashed taters and slow in the flats but suprisingly good on Razors and Challenge. Only the Quad was spinning still. Got 10 runs in before calling it a day only to return again tomorrow! Greatful for this midweek given this season and the current weather. Pic from the top of the Nile Mile.2 points

Currently at PHL airport, flight leaves around 8 30. Having a roast pork sandwich and victory brotherly love ipa. Plan is Brighton tomorrow, powder mountain Wednesday and Thursday and snowbasin Friday. Flight lands at 1 am so getting up for a possible powder day and driving up should be interesting1 point

Puts them at 117 days, minus any full day closings which I think were minimal. You should correct them on FB1 point
