Rode with @Johnny Law this morning...Overall nice conditions .....The reduced coverage does make things interesting at times...Extended three hour session...Only had the quad runnin and you still pretty much ski right on....Hopefully the rain eases of for tomorrow cause the door is starting to close..Video of Main and Switch 20150303_112209_Trim.mp4 20150303_112220_Trim_Trim.mp47 points

Just got back from the morning at Eldora. Blue skies, the usual Eldora wind and light crowds. First we did a warm up run then both decided we wanted to practice in the trees. The snow was great on the tree run. After 2 tree runs we wanted to switch to bumps. The access trail to the bumps was so windy. You could see all the snow blowing away. And as @JFskiDan would say, it was slick. Not too fun. So we went back in the trees. We ended up doing 6 or 7 runs in Jolly Jug Glades for the day. Last run I was feeling pretty good. Then some dick snowboarder decided he was going to come up right on me, take my line and zoom past. I didn’t even hear him. He didn’t make contact w me but I was so freaked out I almost fell. And…the confidence was sucked right out of me. Told my friend that was my last run and she agreed her legs were getting tired too. Got in some good practice for the San Juan’s. Gonna drive to Marble to break up the drive tomorrow and spend the night. Then onto the top of the Pass from Ouray and ski into the hut Sunday. We have a guide set up for Monday then skiing Tue solo, drive back Wednesday. The avalanche danger is settling somewhat but glad we have a guide for a day. I packed super light and was able to fit everything into my 30L touring pack. The hut provides bedding and cooks your meals so that helps a lot.7 points

Rode with Mixil this morning and it was super nice spring slush. Some bigger brown spots too make it alot more interesting but nothing crazy. Coming Soon, Razors have generally very good coverage and I think the only new closure is the bottom of widowmaker. Absolutely nobody home and no rain made for a longer session. I feel like I gotta ride tomorrow but I also hate riding when it's pouring hopefully it's just a light mist.7 points

Ok back to skiing. 9 inches in the last 24. Chains and awd required for snowbeezy access road. Expecting sunshine today. Stopping at the ski shop in flagstaff to pick up a pair of enforcers for demo then plan on skiing my ass off till close for what may be my last day this season. If so…4 ski days at Arizona snowbowl over 2 trips. 30 at blue. Not bad.7 points

Drove to ogden around 3...stopped at a waterfall...then tried to find a fishing spot, which was a muddy mess. Then drove to nordic valley and did 6 runs. Place is actually pretty cool. The lift for the better terrain closed at 4 so didn't make it there. Conditions ranged from ice to mashed potatoes with some powder left still7 points

Light snow with pow stashes err where. Pics to come soon. Demoing rip sticks as the enforcers and weren't long enough. I miss my lines but it's tough to be mad at anything right now! Life is good...3 points

Last time I was out there I put in for a table at the red iguana, they said it was like an hour and a half, then went to a brewery a.d also put in for the red iguana 2. Turns out they use the same text system so I was getting messages from both, had no idea which one had a table ready and ran back and forth until the 2 finally sat me.1 point

I enjoy Level Crossing Brewing for good beer and pizza near SLC... and always make a trip to Bohemian Brewing in Midvale(solid lagers and good German/Czech food). Also 2 Row has some solid beer for takeout.1 point

Sunday I’m skiing for sure. It’s gonna be beautiful and mad technical and gnarly…tomorrow I have alarms set but if the radar is ominous I’ll probably go back to bed. Who knows the weather isn’t always 100% so my plans for tomorrow are like old people diapers…Depends..1 point

It's been a bit for me, it may be like Fantasy at Soli and it's only open 3 days a year. IIRC Grizzly is the Olympic downhill that's a baller run too. Enjoy man !1 point

If you can get up the tin can the stuff off no name is great. You probably can't see it put on a decent vis day you can see the lower lot from the top too so not that I would ever advocate but it's excellent slack country.1 point

Sisters, along with all the other stuff entered through gates is closed for avalanche mitigation. The trees everywhere and steeper stuff off john paul is what I've been doing. The steeper trails are getting bumped up which is actually helpful with the limited visibility. Not sure I'll get over to strawberry, heard of long lift lines there earlier1 point

We went to Scottsdale and you’re right. It was a douche fest with a 3 to 4 hour wait. I learned this trip the coming to Arizona in march during spring training isn’t the wisest move. Anyway..left there and went to Glendale which was a lot quieter had no wait, families etc. but yeah really expensive. I didn’t even know they were in the east? Do they close in the winter?1 point

They are building one in KOP. I had been wondering what the hell the giant poles were and then I saw a sign. Its right where I get off the turnpike when I'm driving home from Blue. Every time I've ever been to one its way too bro-ey and bachelor party type vibe. Only been in PHX and ABQ though.1 point

I have one a few minutes away, it’s fun to go to with a group of people and just mess around playing the different games they have but man can it get expensive quick.1 point

I looked it up, the closest Top Golf is in Philly. We should play hideaway hills sometime this summer. Also I’m looking forward to seeing pictures of Arizona snowbowl tomorrow!!! Enjoy your vacation..I had 16 calls on my personal line at work today from 12-3..it’s bananas.1 point

@mute1080 Becky and I had a great night, played around on Razors, Coming Soon and Main Street. BB got redemption from Saturday's tears on coming soon, and had a fun run down Razors with @Schif @MattEDGE and @skiincy. Becky did get up close and personal with the sign on home stretch, and got to chat with a ski patrol as we ended our session. It was a great way to spend day 50 on the slopes.1 point

They did this exact thing last year or the year before, I forget which. I left Blue expecting another day riding the following weekend only to be disappointed.1 point
