  1. About to begin day 2 of 3 at not-Icy Face. Should be a grate day. Supposebly they have the gon-doobie running so I wont have to walk up multiple hills to get to da lifts today. Woohoo ! Got here at 7:30 to park close and eliminate some walking, chillin' in my Sonic drinking coffee JADIP ice is nice
  2. Thanks for the suggestion, but my family only buys Chevy's 💁‍♂️
  3. Hope not, since they used wind as the reason for yesterday and today. If it only ran weekends don't think they would blame the wind. Though it wasnt even that windy at the summit 🤷🏻‍♂️ I like riding gondolas and have taken them midweek at Killington, Stowe, Winter Park and Steamboat. Hoping to ride tomorrow
  4. Did some top to bottom runs but had to keep stopping to scrape ice off my goggles. Hopefully tomorrow I can do nonstop runs and no ice!
  5. Correct. I would buy another vehicle, but likely an SUV this time - better survivability in an accident, more storage space for gear, and more fun to drive
  6. The website below says Little Whiteface double is a 17 minute ride, but it didnt feel like 17 minutes. Anyway hopefully they open the gondola tomorrow since it's only around 8 minutes bottom to top https://www.skiresort.info/ski-resort/whiteface-lake-placid/ski-lifts/l96484/
  7. I used to boot inside sometimes but for me it feels like more work having to carry the boots too. Plus I was always worried someone would jack my shoes from the lodge and I'd have to drive home in ski boots. Cant push the clutch with ski boots. Used to leave an extra pair of shoes in the Sonic just in case.
  8. I'm at the Great Adirondack Brewing Company and ordered some scallops. Will likely have dinner at one of these places tomorrow evening
  9. It was. I saw someone here with a similar jacket as your's. Be sure to give out plenty of boner cities and to rate this thread 5 stars!
  10. Wao I just had the best post ski nap ever. Going for food, maybe to the Dirty Pig and then SUJOPO later
  11. Black diamonds off Little Whiteface midway station were pretty rad. Hope visibility is better tomorrow at the summit so I can see where I'm going and enjoy the runs more
  12. Today started out shitty for the first hour or so and then improved significantly. It even started to shower some fresh perder later in the day. Couldnt have asked for better conditions. Terrain was rad too. Maybe later I'll post about some trails I enjoyed but now time for SUJOPO
  13. Yeah, it was really nice there, not crowded and the tables are very spread out. I can't stand where there are people on top of each other like the lodges at Steamboat last year. I'll definitely be taking my breaks there the whole trip.
  14. Didnt seem to be freezing rain but wow did my goggles ice up everytime I ascended to the summit. It was frustrating having to stop and wipe them off multiple times down a run, other wise I couldn't see Jack. A few times I just moved them up onto my helmet so I could frick'in see. They never iced up on the lower half of the mountain
  15. Fudge the summit is grate but cant ever see shit due to iced goggles all the damn time. I picked a bad day to leave my squeegee in the Sonic
  16. I post between runs and when I ate a bean burrito at the Bear lodge. That burrito was tasty.
  17. WJW I think you're on this stupid site even more than @GrilledSteezeSandwich
  18. Jitterbug glitch, plz delete
  19. Correct. I bought some Alphabet cereal and bernaners. Also went to the local grocery store for the best store bought blueberry bagels I've ever had - had them last time I was here in Sept. The hotel has free coffee but only little tiny baby cups. I think tomorrow I might just fill my thermos and see if they give me any flak
  20. I do and will likely ride alone the whole time here which is nice. But after dilly dallying around for 1.5 hours and skiing the easiest of greens just to ski and not stand in line, I just wanted to get on the damn lift and didnt care
  21. Nope, but plenty of gnarly ungroomed terrain with various sizes of moe ghouls. @RidgeRacer will be happy to know that I have no complaints about ice as there isn't much at all, but the showers at the hotel are unnecessarily small
  22. Yeah those are grate. The lift rides go by pretty quickly since the runs are long.
  23. Wont be posting much more til later, both batteries for my Jitterbug are almost dead and my mobile charger is inside the Chevrolet Sonic
  24. I have no idea what the name of the trails are 🤷🏻‍♂️ I just ski whatever looks funnest. I think I did parts of excelsior and then took random trails off it
