Conditions were way better than expected for today after yesterday’s storm. Managed every run plus NM/DW twice with the fam before the Easter Egg hunt up top. Didn’t see anyone in the lot since we arrived late and left early for the top lot.
Enjo had the beta for VIP lot(second row) being free and also skipping the stupid line for egg hunt registration(see photo). Line initially was from the top lodge entrance to the first row parked cars, but no one was using the second table to sign in.
Hanging out on the veranda for a bit with @enjoralasand @PSUFrankensteinwas a great way to finish the season. Kudos to Blue for blowing snow this week

Made it up after work for a short session. The photo shoot was weird and there was a surprising number of beginners out of their element. Saw way more people walking than expected between the struggle on the flats and newbies going down the expert terrain.
One guy asked me on the lift if my Black Crows were a special edition for the band…
Talked to an employee/friend that said the quad was stopping because they had a big gap up top between the wood and snow. Apparently it was ready to go and then melted and people were eating it. Had to call a cat out to fix it

I was on the lift and saw someone go head first into the big hole on NM, just below the jump. He was literally being held up by his snowboard. IDK what’s under there, but I was afraid he would drown The people in front of us called ski patrol, and we booked to the top of NM in case someone needed help getting him out. Turns out his friends got him out and they left. Then ski patrol came and were total Jack asses- threatening to pull everyone’s pass.
Wow. I was wondering why they didn’t just have bamboo on it. Saw everyone else poaching it so I took one thinking they didn’t care

Made it up yesterday after work for an hour. Everything was super soft and I skied in a t shirt which feels weird. The outside Quad entrance was down to stones but no line while I was there. Razors was fun with the bumps up top but lots of people taking their time down it. Saw Marty and I think MomSkeez in the lot. Trying to do the same time today but we'll see how work turns out.

Super fun morning with the soft snow. It was good to see BMR didn't need to close Rzrs completely to do gate practice. Wild how both can use it at the same time.
Saw my first turkey at Blue. We could hear it gobbling on the six on the hill across from the ski patroller building, Lazy side. Took an extra lap to get eyes on it but missed the picture.

Rode for an hour with GSSucks and then skied with DirtWolf and Edge for another 2.5ish. Super fun soft spring skiing. Lazy and Pdis were hammer down and prob my RsOTN. Got to yell at Ridge for the lift but never caught up to him

After going to montage, it makes you appreciate Blue. I was on the lift yesterday with a former montage instructor who lives in the city of Scranton and he has a season pass at Blue cause he can’t stand the slow lifts at Montage.
Boo had comments similar after seeing the snow base and lot/lift set ups. The kids also now appreciate the detachable lifts at Blue compared to getting their legs smacked from fixed grips.
