i really think they want to be last to close. even if that means having just vista open.
temps aren't great next week for snowmaking, but the opportunity is there to squeak out one last wknd if they just patch up a run or two.
are any other mtns still claiming they'll be open after this wknd? -

just got an email from CBK saying they're done sun

so it looks like the only way to lower main now is chute. that could get interesting.

I’m not saying resurrect it but there’s a lot of snow on the top part that could be moved over to the top of the quad.
It’s getting thin between the quad and six . Razors is in good shape yet, it would be a shame to shut the East side down.Understood but why move anything to the quad if everything else can be addressed by the six? Sorry for the confusion, I'm sure it's just me. Long day.

Based on my extensive internet research I'm assuming it is between $350,000 and $500,000.

it interesting to me to see the specs of a lift like that. a 500 HP motor is no fucking joke. A Baldor 500 hp motor is about $75,000.
It would be interesting for find a price tag on it. so much involved with getting rid of a lift.
the pictures make it look tiny but that fucker is like 7ft long

i think they lowered the expected totals a whole lot. either way im hoping they're open tomorrow after 4.

Yes, skiers right side down first headwall. Need some skier work to round them out. Wonder if they will groom out TCS, or call it until next year.
Just put a stick in coming soon. Give the quad a break, get it ready for biking or just let it sit. Focus on the rest of the mtn.

maybe it'll be a ski it til you can't event. the fact that they tried to blow in those temps the last couple nights leads me to believe they'll try to freshen things up early next week for the following wknd

Ride time is 9 minutes no stops, 12 on average... 960ft of vertical excitement ain't that far. How slow do you ski!? ;-).
12 min on average for 960 ft of vert?
it sounds even further now.

Dunno, we took a run over to Vista yesterday and snow's still pretty deep on it yet.
Of course, this upcoming week's temps are going to do a number on it, but that's also going to happen everywhere on the mountain.
IIRC, training hill was looking pretty bad yesterday with a big roped off mud area on looker's right of the right side run.yeah ill admit i was surprised to hear that. it doesn't seem like there's much on that hill but i feel as though those learning hill guns can put out a lot, maybe they were running last night? regardless i'm skeptical.
and that spot was bad. created quite the bottleneck. it was like a warzone with people coming straight down and not being able to turn away from it, then bailing to the ground right before the fence.

School hill or the one at the base? Why do you think that?
the one at the bottom where the triple is. heard an instructor saying something about it to someone. there is also a huge rectangle dug out. not sure if they were just moving that snow elsewhere, but it looks like the dimensions needed.

take it with a grain of salt but i think pond skim will be on learning hill.

Got at least ten runs on learning hill a and b. Also checked off the learning hill connector. Was surprised to see @theprogram4 and learn he was just arriving. Didn't make it to paradise but a solid session for her. Thanks @Schif for going out of your way to say hi. Good day today overall, surprised they didn't lose more snow.
