  1. It's silly. I'm in East Fallowfield, but still am 19320. I still write Coatesville on everything, East Fallowfield Township is too long to write and/or explain to people, lots of online shopping doesn't take the address too. Wish we could get our own zip and just detach from Coatesville fully. Usually when I say I live in Coatesville, its followed by a disgusting, judgemental look. Idk why our area gets such a bad rap from the general public, even way out in the burbs. It's OK and even considered somewhat ritzy to live in places like Germantown, Abington, or Cheltenham, when literally half of those areas are total and complete trash.
  2. there was a lot of PASR activity in Malvern a week or two ago, I know that.
  3. Of course they shared the one without the larger crew...
  4. If you want to go with a twin tip, I'm a huge fan of the Line Chronics. They are such a great PA ski, in my opinion. If you want to do any park dabbling, I think it makes the most sense to get something that can do it all, and they can handle pretty much everything you throw at it. Still a freestyle-focused ski, but great as an all-mountain ripper, even good in the trees. Very fun, lively, durable, affordable, and playful ski with a medium-stiff flex. I picked up last season's model for $300 a few months ago. Not limp dick noodles, but not skin suit stiff either. Would definitely be a good option if you want something that can dabble in the park, but still be well-mannered on groomers. Call me a snob (or anti snob?), but I feel like if you have any desire to ski park, it's unnecessary to have 2 pairs of skis for PA when a twin tip with an all-mountain bias can handle the job. If you want something for more gnarly terrain and trips that involve no park skiing, get a second pair to keep around for that purpose. I also prefer a more playful ski for groomers, love launching side booters and goofing off, so that definitely plays a role into my opinion. I will rock chronics exclusively until I'm dead or in dick deep powder (of which I then break out the bacons).
  5. At this time tomorrow, we'll be a few runs deep. Think about that
  6. can't muck up those wedding shots...
  7. I still can’t believe blue is opening mid november with a full week of snowmaking prior. God damn insane
  8. Damn, oldschool. I remember we used to bump this a lot with @librider and @Shadows back in the keystone days.
  9. I love the ok boomer thing. It's about time we lose the uneducated boomer opinions of the millennial generation, that are based on romanticism of the past and unrealistic expectations of younger people with an entire different set of challenges than what they had when they were our age. But hey, none of this belong in the Skison thread. Let's go ski.
  10. Beat me to it! Nice to see the bush go full ikonic.
  11. The cams right now have me super stoked. Cant wait to see them whales tomorrow am. Even blowing out the mice in the valley...could just be glare, but it razors and challenge look white to me too...
  12. Absolutely puking that fake snow right now
  13. Wilmington is a pure, 100% shithole. They are building up the waterfront somewhat, like a smaller northern liberties. It's nice, but still kinda sucks (we call it "Wilmington Good"). But the biggest problem, IMO, is that nobody really lives here, they all commute in from Philly or surrounding suburbs, and it will probably always be that way. I can't think of a single reason to live here aside from a convenient commute if you work at any of the major financial companies. Decent real estate is super expensive, rent is up there with real cities, and everything else is in the super duper hood. Nothing cool as far as attraction, culture, etc. either. There is nothing to do on weekends or nights, because everyone goes home. There's actually a good amount of restaurants here that are only open for lunch during weekdays.
  14. I see him on FB every now and then, he looks exactly the same
  15. I actually asked dennis if he wanted to come up with me on saturday but I didn't hear back, I think he's on vacation. I will 100% drag him up one day this year. xNick11 has been MIA, we can't find him or get a hold of him actually. I sent him a message on linkedin not too long ago lol
  16. Yep, that's my thinking. Every Saturday dawn patrol is my goal for the season, with an odd sunday sprinkled in here and there. It's tough going back to back with an 1:49 drive. Hoping to squeak in some "work from home" days from the lodge every now and then, too. I discovered that trick during bike park season on when they would open on fridays.
  17. Jeez, I was probably last there to ski in like 2013 or 2014, I can't remember. Easily clocked 20+ days this past summer in the bike park though. I've only been out skiing maybe 10 or so days since I moved back from VT in 2012. Most of those were out west with dbamf, with a few Blue and Boulder days sprinkled in. I'm hoping to hit 20 days this year.
  18. I was looking at Palmerton
  19. Right now the forecast is looking pretty bleak for next week, lots of days in the 50's with lows in the mid-30's and some rain possible. Hopefully they can at least get a night or two of wet bulb temps to refresh during the week. If not I feel like there is a good chance of them not opening again until black friday.
  20. Looks like it. They haven't even started blowing snow.
  21. I work in wilmington. Aside from the sizable pay bump I got from taking this job, it blows
  22. I guess technically they added some CYA wording if they need to back out, but this is their "announcement".
  23. yes they announced friday at 4 on social media. they didn't post formal weekend hours yet though.
  24. It will still be a shitshow regardless, but at least Bear Creek and Boulder will be open too (BC being the wild card here to attract the southern peeps). Probably wishful thinking, but that might divert the crowds just a hair. Shawnee cams looked like crap, but maybe if they pull together an opening too that will be even better.
