I forgot how crappy Blue's e-commerce site is when buying a season pass, but I was able to navigate it and apply last year's gift card. yay.
That is a great news!

97.5 brought back Jamie lynch and he hosts the show from PJs in MALVERN on Sundays. I listen on the way home from blue
I haven't been to PJs since I used to work in an office and we would go there for lunch occasionally but that was the one in Downingtown. I love MALVERN but I don't love PJs enough to go out of my way to go there.

If Blue somehow has a soft heart for uphillers this might be a pretty awesome weekend coming up.

Today was unexpectedly good. You could really hammer on Switch and the cover was really good.

I've been really nervous that Blue will close while I'm out in Colorado.

How were the conditions at Eagle Rock? I've never done Predator because I was a super noob when I last skied there. I used to hear it's a legit run for Pennsylvania.
Did you notice if they got rid of the beginner lift? The run down to it was shorter than Vista to Vista Chair. I spent a ton of time in the lower shack when I worked there around 2013.
The beginner lift is just towers and stations now. The haul rope and chairs are gone. Instead of having a chair for the beginner area they have a Polaris with treads instead of wheels that a guy drives up and down to shuttle people back to the top

Big shout out to @mute1080 and @Mixilplix for helping me with the skins.

Today was good at Blue and also pretty good over at Eagle Rock, even though my stop over there doesn't count as a second ski day.
I arrived at the lodge around 12:30 and hung out with my brother for a while. Was nice to just chat and hang out. Eventually I got the gear out of the car and got it on the snow. I put the split board in touring mode and shuffled up this little ridge next to the lodge to get the feel for it and it came much more naturally than I expected. Since the lodge is at the top I ripped off the skins, reconnected the board and headed down. There was a trail there called halfpipe that is not really a pipe but has sloped walls on both sides. That was really fun to noodle around in, then I dropped down their only open diamond called Predator. It's got a nice sustained pitch and is somewhat steep. Kind of like a longer Chute.
I took the super old wooden seat double up and rode down the only other route to the bottom which is a green that drops into a blue for a little switchback and a decent pitch to the bottom.
At the bottom the transition to tour mkde went really smoothly and while I was switching bindings a kid had a fantastic yard sale to the side of me, probably slid 100 yards, but he seemed ok and was laughing with his friends about it.
Toured back up that same trail. 0.64 miles, around 425 vert in 23 minutes.
Gear felt good, super comfortable.
Bonus pic of a cool looking train I saw in Jim Thorpe.

As of last season the sign for the bus is still on a pole on sidewinder
But where is the cement mixer?

Do you get to skip security in Allentown if you go on the bus? Interesting that it dropped you off at terminal F and then you had to make your way to terminal B.
Also super happy to hear that Pops was able to make it.

Cold but actually felt good in the sun. The snow was nothing to complain about and Coming Soon was the run of the day.

I'm disappointed that they aren't trying to open more runs
I'm happy they are solidifying what we already have open. There's plenty of season left for another cold snap and to open more trails. You know what they say, anything before Arbor Day is a bonus.

Saturday is the plan for this week. I'm hoping for something resembling real snow that might keep me out there for more than an hour and a half.

Big tubing race this weekend?

The tubers deserve a long season as well.
Tubers don't get their best lane taken away each weekend by the tubing race team.

Maybe in the morning they can play some 80s music videos on the screen to go with the 80s music they play over the speakers.

Rough out there today for sure. Only up side I guess was that there weren't really any lines.
Blue was definitely making money today. Race team on razors, other race team on Curzis Widow, Cross team piled up at the intersection to Falls and at least 3 groups of Adventure camp. They weren't leaving money on the table
2/25…PASR day…cold..snowmaking.

I stayed until around 3 today with my cousin. The guys in that awesome camper had a huge tailgate going completely surrounding that machine.
Lines never really got long except for when the new 6 stopped for a decent amount of time. The line for the cocktail truck was pretty big though.
