  1. Attention PASR. Camelback Snowtubing will be closed tomorrow, February 28th, 2024. I am doing my part in letting everyone know in case hoards of PASRs were planning on making the long trip to the greatest ski resort in America, so you can plan on tubing another day like on February 29th.
  2. Jack Frost was grate. Skied 830-11. Bathrooms suck though, actually had to stand in line to wash my hands. What's up with that? Changing into my street clothes was a hassle. The stalls are so small. This mountain makes me grateful for the big wide open expanse of the Blue Mountain (the True Mountain) snowtubing bathrooms, where space for changing is plentiful.
  3. At Camelback, greatest mountain in the world, rode with some eccentric old guy that was probably abducted by aliens. He says Camelback can't blow a lot of snow because they only have one snowmaking retention pond which is near the new Sullivan Six pack, and apparently the pond was full of mud recently! Everyone pray for rain so Camelback can refill its one snowmaking pond! Skiing was pretty good for the first hour and a half. Hump and Asp were very nice, just a little mashed perdatery on the flat run back to the lift. King Tut was garbage. The greens off the Nastar Glenn lift were nice and found some fresh courdoroy around 10 am. Once everyone found that area it got a little chunky. Overall a grate day at Camelback and exceeded my expectations until around 11 am.
  4. @Schif any update on when we will have an awesome day at Eagle Rock next weekend, either 2/25 or 2/26? I plan to ski Predator for at least one whole hour
  5. This is the moment everyone on this site has been waiting for. Camelback Mountain is officially opening on December 16! I highlighted the most exciting news: refreshments (maybe sugar cookies and hot cocoas) will be served; FIRST T.R.A.X. will commence; and there is a new app which may have a map so you won't get lost at Camelback!!! This is soooo sick!
  6. Breckenridge was rad. Started at 8:27 under sunny sky's. There wasn't much fresh Perder but still found some secret stashes. Skied da groomers, da bowls, da moegools, and da glades. Pretty sick #JADIP #WTGAI #sickbird #gnarlybird
  7. Same shit.... different day.....
  8. Hunter is grate! Very rad conditions, basically a 10/10. I got up at 4:30 am to get after it but it's been totally worth it. Not too crowded and grate perd! Current taking a coffee break at the Sonic and eating Captains Wafers and a bernaner, then time to get after it for 2 more hours. Sickbird
  9. Jack Frost was pretty rad. 4 blue trails open and mostly in grate shape, except for DeMattes Demise or whatever which had some cookies of death. Still way way better than that atrocious crapola Midway I've become accustomed to during early season. Plus I slept until 7:50 and still made it on time. Skied 1.5 hours, now drinking blistering hot coffee and consuming french Toast at the White Haven diner. #JADIP #WTGAI #DayOfKindness
  10. Hey All, It’s almost another weekend and ski season. Is anybody planning on skiing Blue mountain the true mountain this Friday-Sunday? Looks like nice comfortable temperatures and some legit upper mountain terrain open. Maybe even some hard cider will be consumed in the parking lot. JADIP
  11. Tomorrow I head to the 'dacks to ski Whiteface for 3 days - Wed. 2/3 through Fri 2/5. It's gonna be siiiiiick.
  12. Wao, what a grate night at Montage. Arrived around 1800 and walked down like 100 steps to get my $30 discounted lift ticket, then walked up like 100 steps and moved my Chevy Sonic as close to the Phoebe lift as physically possible. Skied some blacks and double blacks like Cannonball, Smoke and White Lightning. Also did Lower Fast Track (dark and icy) and Lower Runaway (even more dark and icy). Then toured the flatlands (blues) at the top of the mountain for old time sake, and did 3 runs. It was a bit windy, cold, and flat so I went back down to the expert slopes which are protected from much of the wind. On my way down I skied Upper Fast Track which was pitch black much of the way. Boo. Skied more expert runs and mostly stuck to Boomer since they're blowing fresh perder and it was like literally amaze-balls for night skiing. The snow was nice and soft. Also did White Lightning a few times. The main Expert slopes (White lightning, Boomer, Smoke, & Cannonball) are very well lit compared to the rest of the mountain. Overall a grate night and conditions were pretty nice. Not a death cookie or sugar pile in sight, just a few slick spots here and there but nothing crazy. JADIP ice is nice.
  13. Hey All, It’s almost another weekend. Looks like dry comfortable weather is on tap. Who’s going to be in the house???
  14. So, dont get me wrong, i like hanging out with you assholes, and conditions were great at Blue this past weekend, but we all know we cant have nice things 2 weekends in a row. Anyone interested in a road trip Friday or Saturday? I could easily be talked out of going to work on Friday, in fact, i would really almost prefer that. Elk? Greek Peak? I think Greek is skiing pretty well, but maybe @mbike-ski would have some "insider info?" Just for shits and giggles, take a look at the forecast for our northern areas for later this week. Car pool is cool, but my Vette only has room for 2, and you have to like Bud Light Lime, and Vanilla Ice.
  15. Hey All, Its almost another weekend and presidents weekend at that. Is anybody gonna be skiing or riding Blue mountain the true mountain his Saturday or Sunday? Looks like almost a carbon copy of last weekend..chilly with snowmaking cannons cranking on Saturday and almost springlike on Sunday with no rain. Could be good!!!
  16. Just got back from Camelback, the True Mountain. In the house was @saltyant and a lot of Jerrys. Pulled into the Gaper lot at 1700 hours and stepped into my RTMs to ski to the waterslide lift. Made gnarly runs on Nile Mile, Cliffhanger, and the green trail. Sadly I'm starting to forget the names of the trails since I'm getting old (almost 32) and haven't skied at Camelback enough. Cliffhanger was chock full of ice and giant moguls. All black diamonds were icy AF and my RTMs were making loud scraping sounds. Had some fun conversations on the lift. Talked to some cool older dude with a wolf hat he got in Utah in 1987, and told him his hat is older than myself and @AtomicSkier. When he was younger he biked a loop from Indiana to Yellowstone, so we talked about our road cycling adventures. Also rode the lift with a giant toolbag jabroni who had a backpack full of beers but lost it somewhere, and was drunk as a skunk. We rode up with an Ernst & Young consultant from downtown Manhattan and had an interesting conversation about life. Overall a great night and made a lot of epic runs. I still really like Camelback and maybe will get a season pass there again. JADIP.
  17. Really looks like some favorable snowmaking conditions come this weekend. Without a doubt, i would say BBEPIC fires up Thursday PM. At least i think based on the forecast, Peak would. we will see. Whats Blue gonna do? Is the carpet and massage parlor done at the lower lodge? Will it class the place up enough? Might need a hand to expedite the Blue Mountain PASR Parking Lot Lodge sooner than anticipated.
  18. Hey All, It’s almost the weekend. Is anybody going to be at Blue mountain the true mountain? Looks like some sunshine and semi springlike weather this weekend...could be good!!!
  19. Hey all, Just got back from a fun session at Camelback, and it was the best session I had there all season. In da house were Enjoralas, Enjoralas's Dad, and many many others. I arrived at the CBK Lodge bright and early at 0828 and had the first civilian parking spot, which was only 26 steps from the snow. This spot was easily the best parking spot I've ever had at any ski resort. I skied down to the Stevenson Lift at 0846 and there were maybe 12 people in line already on the hotel side. But since they dilly dallyed around, I got the first civilian chair of the day which was sick and I only had to share it with one other dude. First run down Pocono Raceway was deeeeep - 3, perhaps 4 inches of fresh Powder. I gasped for air because I forgot my snorkel, but it was an amazing run. Then I did Nile Mile, which was groomed, and some other very exciting runs. Shortly before 1000 I ran into Enjoralas & his dad, and we did several runs together. Enjoralas referred to the new terrain park as a Toboggan Sled, since skier's left is narrow AF, and there's no barrier on the left to prevent accidental skiing into the woods. This trail was not so great and had thick ice sheets at the top. Rest of the trails got choppy, and there were moguls on all black runs, Cliffhanger (a true double black), and Big Pocono. Enjoralas did Big Pocono and then we did The Rocket together which was ROTD. Lots of nice fresh purd and not a whole lot of ice. Then we split and met up again later in the day, and I went inside for some coffee and a double Steezeburger. It was baffling because they put the sugar by the ketchup, outside of the cafeteria area, instead of next to the coffee, cream, stirrers, etc. A worker admitted it's a stupid arrangement. Overall it was a very fun day, one of the best of the skison without a doubt. Nile Mile and Julius Caesar became downright rowdy by the afternoon, despite being easy runs, with plenty of Rollers which gave me mad air (about 2 inches). I think it was gaper day because there were so many gapers. One guy was sitting right under a huge jump on Pharoah, in the blind spot. You know just hanging out. I heckled him and told him that's not the smartest place on the mountain to sit. Also getting off lifts was hard today, and 50% of lift disembarkings involved dodging fallen jerrys. Two interesting interactions on the lift. Some girl told me she works in an ER and sees traumatic brain injuries from skiing all the time, yet she doesn't wear a helmet so I called her out on that. Also some guy called me a giant fucking toolbag because I accidentally cut in line... I thought there were 3 people in the row I joined but there were 4, so I went ahead. This is the second time I accidentally cut in line, yesterday I did by accident at the Dollar General buying a giant bag of Meow Mix and some guy said "How Wude" or something. Maybe tomorrow I'll make it 3 in a row. Overall JADIP SU JO PO. Please post all dinner pictures and related discussions in the comments below:
  20. This is the Official Roll Call Thread for 2018-2019 Ski Season PASR Camelback Day. The date is Monday, March 4 at 9:00 am, at which time I will ascend the Stevenson Chair for the first time in almost a year to the astonishingly high elevation of nearly 2,000 feet in the Pocono Mountains and make an epic run down Nile Mile, then maybe Marjie's Delight and some other awesome black diamonds. There are discount tickets available at Buckman's for the low, low price of $42, and the best part is they're refundable, in case you decide not to ski one of the best mountains on the east coast (which would be insanity). So far those attending will be: - saltyant (83% chance of going) - Enjoralas (possibly) - Enjoralas's Dad (possibly) - and many, many more PASRs (definitely)
  21. Hey All, Im back from a fun night session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 6:38PM and it was in the upper 20s with light winds. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Johnny Law and a couple hundred peeps mainly younger snowboarders..just a few buses. Razors was open..horray and it was nice..amazing what a little manmade snow can do to eliminate the sugar and turn the snow into soft chalk. I skied Razors Edge every run but one run on nightmare dreamweaver which still has a few Root rollers but has mellowed out a little bit I liked Razors better even though NMDW was a bit faster. I skied until 8:50pm and then enjoyed a milkshake beer Atomic Jeff brought and perpetual that has been sitting in my backseat for a week. I was tired when I arrived at Blue but the skiing gave me a burst of energy. When returning to my hotel with my ski boots in my hand some homeys from Baton Rouge LA were like,”you ski”..a variation from “Jew ski” and I said yeah I’m a skier and the dude gave me a fist 🤛 real grown man shit right there..damn it feels good to be a skier!!!!
  22. Hey All, I’m back from a fun Saturday morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 718am and it was 28 degrees under clear sky’s. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, Ryan, Mute, Toast, Johnny Law, Nazareth Jay, Indiggio, Schifdawg, Tarpenhead, Slim, Gary, GSSUcks, Justo, Rose, Ty, ZZSlope, Joan and many others. I ended up with second civilian chair and guy on lift asked if we were all locals then was like the lehigh valley chamber of commerce. Another guy on the ride talked about having the Ikon pass and I said definitely use it at Jackson hole it’s the best place on the Ikon pass and he said that copper and steamboat are on it..ok. First run on challenge was better than expected smooth and firm. I skipped second run on Sidewinder due to the Root rollers and did a repeat on challenge. Then a few laps on Switchback which was good but lower park was like the beach..lots of sandy sugar. The patroller who was on my case Thursday was out again and I found a window where he was on a different run for a speed run on paradise and it was ok..lazy mile also wasn’t bad initially as was upper Main Street. I tried some of the Main Street bumps and they were big and icy...Crowds were solid not crazy record setting but substantial. The lot was fun with lots of snacks and enjorales brought a few waffles for us and they were good. All in all it was a fun time on the slopes. I’d like to ski tomorrow late morning when the rain ends. Arrival time TBA.
  23. Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:19AM and it was a comfortable 28 degrees under mostly cloudy sky’s. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, Johnny Law, Shadows, Salty, employee in our row, MBike Mike, Mrs snowbunski, Ryan, Root, Antman, Mute, Toast, Justo, Rose, Eaf, Ski2Live, Ty, AngryHugo, Schifdawg, enjorales, Enjorales dad, Slim, concussion Ted and many others. I ended up on the second civilian six pack and challenge was sweet cord..Main Street was the run of the day and so good..switchback was ok early and got icy..nightmare to dreamweaver was also good early and I even sampled lazy mike once and saw toast and shadows on tele skis. Razors was closed due to racing. No real serious liftlines but definitely a lot of people out and Blue was making some Johnny cash. The parking lot was fun with beer and all all sorts of grilled meats thanks to Enjorales and later I even had two of MBike mikes famous beef and cheese sandwiches when it was 40 degrees and the sun was coming out. All in all it was a really fun sausage Sunday with a lot of PASRs in attendance.
  24. Hey all; just concluded another fun session at Blue Mountain, the truest of mountains. Representing PASR were Atomic, Toast, Johnny Law, NMSki, M-Bike-Ski, Matt Edge, Philly Core, and many, many, many others. Pulled into the Upper Lot at 0744 hours and not many cars were parked there which was surprising. Made it to rope drop with 7 minutes to spare so I sat on the lounge chairs to save my leg strength. First run down Midway was mad steezy. First run down Main Street was mad steezy. Both runs had wall to wall corduroy which was fun to ski. Then Lazy Mile was also quite steezy. Paradise sucked hardcore and was barely skiable. By far the most horrendous run of the day. Burma was OK. Falls was rad. The highlight of the day was when the PASRs appeared out of nowhere and Atomic made an attempt to steal my ski poles on Homestretch, and he allegedly crashed in that attempt though I didnt actually witness it. This is all hearsay from Atomic. Maybe next time he will snatch my ski poles on Homestretch but today wasnt that day. I'll be extra cognizant of my surroundings on Home Stretch from now on and watch for potential pirates. Called it quits around 1016 and had cold frozen coffee in my car. Overall a decent day, JADIP, Ice is Nice, Dress like a Cosmonaut.
  25. Hey All, I’m back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 720am and the temperature was in the low 40s under overcast sky’s with fog on the upper mountain extending to the peak. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, Ryan, Mute, Toast, Schifdawg GSSucks, Ty, Shadows, T Maki, West Chester homeys, Indiggio, Tarponhead, JLaw and many others. First civilian six pack and the six pack ran flawlessly I don’t think it stopped once..Main Street was a carpet first thing but poor visibility on the top half..lazy to the falls also good. Concussion Ted was making sure that nobody was going on paradise while the patrol got it ready with bamboo lollipops yeah it definitely wasn’t sucker free. I skied the Barney’s Bumps once and they were pretty nice..small but carvable..the snow was hero snow and not that crazy choppy at least from 8-10...paradise was a little more firm and spicy..Lazy mike became crazy mike was some serious needle threading. Was a nice session totally ski on ended up skiing I believe 13 runs and then retired to the parking lot for a couple beers. No BMDI tomorrow and I fear no skiing tomorrow AM with the weather forecast. A fre pics. Shout out to Barb with the 80s music and some early fog and mist which cleared then set in and cleared again. JADIP
