  1. Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:19AM and it was a comfortable 28 degrees under mostly cloudy sky’s. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, Johnny Law, Shadows, Salty, employee in our row, MBike Mike, Mrs snowbunski, Ryan, Root, Antman, Mute, Toast, Justo, Rose, Eaf, Ski2Live, Ty, AngryHugo, Schifdawg, enjorales, Enjorales dad, Slim, concussion Ted and many others. I ended up on the second civilian six pack and challenge was sweet cord..Main Street was the run of the day and so good..switchback was ok early and got icy..nightmare to dreamweaver was also good early and I even sampled lazy mike once and saw toast and shadows on tele skis. Razors was closed due to racing. No real serious liftlines but definitely a lot of people out and Blue was making some Johnny cash. The parking lot was fun with beer and all all sorts of grilled meats thanks to Enjorales and later I even had two of MBike mikes famous beef and cheese sandwiches when it was 40 degrees and the sun was coming out. All in all it was a really fun sausage Sunday with a lot of PASRs in attendance.
  2. Hey all; just concluded another fun session at Blue Mountain, the truest of mountains. Representing PASR were Atomic, Toast, Johnny Law, NMSki, M-Bike-Ski, Matt Edge, Philly Core, and many, many, many others. Pulled into the Upper Lot at 0744 hours and not many cars were parked there which was surprising. Made it to rope drop with 7 minutes to spare so I sat on the lounge chairs to save my leg strength. First run down Midway was mad steezy. First run down Main Street was mad steezy. Both runs had wall to wall corduroy which was fun to ski. Then Lazy Mile was also quite steezy. Paradise sucked hardcore and was barely skiable. By far the most horrendous run of the day. Burma was OK. Falls was rad. The highlight of the day was when the PASRs appeared out of nowhere and Atomic made an attempt to steal my ski poles on Homestretch, and he allegedly crashed in that attempt though I didnt actually witness it. This is all hearsay from Atomic. Maybe next time he will snatch my ski poles on Homestretch but today wasnt that day. I'll be extra cognizant of my surroundings on Home Stretch from now on and watch for potential pirates. Called it quits around 1016 and had cold frozen coffee in my car. Overall a decent day, JADIP, Ice is Nice, Dress like a Cosmonaut.
  3. Hey All, I’m back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 720am and the temperature was in the low 40s under overcast sky’s with fog on the upper mountain extending to the peak. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, Ryan, Mute, Toast, Schifdawg GSSucks, Ty, Shadows, T Maki, West Chester homeys, Indiggio, Tarponhead, JLaw and many others. First civilian six pack and the six pack ran flawlessly I don’t think it stopped once..Main Street was a carpet first thing but poor visibility on the top half..lazy to the falls also good. Concussion Ted was making sure that nobody was going on paradise while the patrol got it ready with bamboo lollipops yeah it definitely wasn’t sucker free. I skied the Barney’s Bumps once and they were pretty nice..small but carvable..the snow was hero snow and not that crazy choppy at least from 8-10...paradise was a little more firm and spicy..Lazy mike became crazy mike was some serious needle threading. Was a nice session totally ski on ended up skiing I believe 13 runs and then retired to the parking lot for a couple beers. No BMDI tomorrow and I fear no skiing tomorrow AM with the weather forecast. A fre pics. Shout out to Barb with the 80s music and some early fog and mist which cleared then set in and cleared again. JADIP

  5. Hey All, I’m back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I finished off the work day with a nice preneed sale(bonus business) followed up with a very empty and fully open Blue mountain. I stopped at Sheetz on the drive up and had two hot dogs and an iced tea then pulled into the lower lot at 419PM..high tailed it to the water closet as nature called..I think I actually trotted to the bathroom..stage 3.5!! Atomic Jeff arrived about ten minutes later and we began on Razors ledge which was choppy up top and smooth spring snow lower 2/3..Nightmare to dream weaver was smooth on the top and choppy after the big turn. Temperatures were around 40 and light rain began to fall around 500PM just as Eaf predicted. Main Street had great carving snow on the top and moderate chop on the lower half. After 7 runs we went to the parking lot and NMSki and Ryan arrived. I had a citrus IPA in the lot and some pretzels and took a pocket beer with me..repeated Main Street, NMDW and mostly skied razors..rain held off a few runs then began to fall again. Total count for me was 7 razors runs, 5 nightmare dreamweaver runs and 2 on Main Street. I retired to the lot around 710pm with Atomic Jeff and Ryan and NMSki managed 4-5 more runs until 750pm Fun was had in the lot I drank one of Atomic Jeff’s beers which was 8.5% and NMSki offered me a beer and I said only if it was under 11% and it was 10% so all good..it’s hard to remember a rainy night skiing session on 3/27 that was fully opened at Blue and it was a great time skiing..I’m sore of out of touch but I think they’re closed tomorrow and Thursday due to rain but it should be litty like bouncing titties Friday and Saturday. While hanging out there was a party suburban with all kinds of lights. Was badass..like a mobile DJ. Sick bird. Just as we were leaving around 9pm they even put on a torch light parade and I snapped this sick picture.
  6. It sucks. A little bit of groomed snow covering up ice like the surface of the moon. Shuttle is nice.
  7. Saturday, January 13, 2018 My Couch I planned for today’s trip by checking the weather forecast carefully throughout Friday evening and then not setting my alarm for Saturday morning. Just no. Awakening at a positively adolescent 7am, I loaded my gear onto the coffee table and began the day’s mission. Stoke levels were high, since the weather was warm and dry; really perfect essay-grading conditions. I chose my 13-inch MacBook Air, which I think was the right tool for the conditions. Definitely the right length, though I could have gone with a 15” for more visibility. There were no crowds at the couch save for an old, snoring tabby. I estimated being able to get in about 7-10 essays per hour and I wasn’t wrong. Low stoke level. In a total gaper move, I checked PASR before getting started. A real distraction. I think I need some lessons on how to stay focused. I don’t want anyone lower than a level III instructor, though. I have unique focus issues. Once I got down to business, the day turned out to be more challenging than I’d hoped. I expected strong, clear, and thorough thesis statements, and instead found myself slogging through piles of hyper-generalized bullshit about “people” doing things “back in the day.” I had to deploy a lot of warnings about using the first-person voice and ended up taking more breaks than I’d planned because it was just rough-going at times. Disappointing conditions here. I’ll probably keep at it until the evening, but I’m definitely going to hit the kitchen for a couple of beers later. A good day overall. Better than unemployment anyway.
  8. Hey All, I'm back from another fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 725am and it was partly cloudy and 10 degrees. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Toast, JFDan, Johnny Law, MBike Mike, TP4, Matt Edge, Enjorales Dad, Shadows, Indiggio, SallyCat, Tarponhead, Gary's son and many others. First civilian 6-pack and first run on challenge was pretty nice. Next run nightmare to dreamweaver was pretty good cord followed by Sidewinder which was alright. There was some sort of a pipe issue as evidenced by a large pile of dirt and digging tools at the bottom of Razors. There was also a junior race on Razors and some nasty sliding falls on upper Razors. P-Dizzle was ok..switchback was pretty smooth and lazy mile had some new blown snow. Crowds werent bad earlier but it got busier later in the morning while I was in the parking lot. Good food thanks to Atomic Jeff and MBike Mike and good entertainment and beer as well. I guess I forgot to lock my car and my sunglasses and shiros went missing..if this is prank wars then all y'all will get the last laugh..OK..all in all was pretty good let's hope the snowguns are firing again tonight..JADIP
  9. Hey All, im back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower low at 7:24am and it was around -3 degrees. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JF Dan, Johnny Law, NMSki, T Maki, -Dan, Toast, Justo, Ryan, TP4, Indiggio, Enjorales and dad and many others. The six pack began a few hours late because they were still grooming. Apparently after the mountain closed down at 4pm they cranked out the guns to the max operation blizzard 3.0 type shiznit. First run I skied Challenge while most went to Razors and it was a carpet. I did challenge two more times enjoying the soft packed powder then hit up nightmare to dreamweaver which was chalky goodness. Switchback was alright but a few icy patches and lazy mile was variable some mini cookies. Sidewinder didn't look good so I avoided it but revisited challenge and revisited nightmare to dreamweaver several more times. No real liftlines all morning...Did the on bended knee T bow thing to get out of my boots and had a good variety of beer including some Bonn beer Toast brought. Was quite a stretch of cold and nice snow but looking forward to aome 20s to 40s temperatures. When I'm wearing lower body underarmor and a balaclava you know it's cold.

  11. Hey All, I'm back from the first day of skiing this year and my 20th day of the season. I skipped out on Mickey Dee's breakfast and had some crackers, pita, hummus and apple slices. Arrived at Blue mountain the true mountain at 7:24am and I had -2 but others had as low as -8 so I'm going with around -5 at the base and a few degrees warmer up high. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, Matt edge, MBike Mike, PARidge, TP4, Slim, GahSkier George, Enjorales and Enjorales dad. Razors was closed right from the start so began on challenge which was a carpet. Nightmare dreamweaver was very nice as was sidewinder. Nothing was bad except a run on challenge later on closer to 930am was a little choppy. My nose and toes were the coldest parts..was good to be out skiing completing 7 straight morning sessions beginning on the 26th..it's very rare to have the week between xmas and New Years be completely rain free. A main highlight of today was the complete lack of crowds as New Year's Day people wake up later plus the cold surely scared off many of the fence sitters. Was a short session got a quick dozen or so runs and bugged out before 10am..no beers in the lot today I had plenty Saturday and Sunday. Me and atomic jeff ended up stopping at city view diner for brunch on the way home as both the BMDI and the Whitehall diner were closed. It was pretty busy but we were served fairly fast. Now I'm posting this from work..I haven't been in since Friday morning and thought I'd take in Friday afternoon and saturdays mail and get things ready for tomorrow which will be really busy plus I think housekeeping is in my room so giving them some time to do their thing before I return and put the Do not disturb sign up..JADIP
  12. Hey All, I'm back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. The temperature was in the high single digits and low teens today with a brisk northwest wind. In the house were Shadows, Atomic Jeff, Toast, Indiggio, JFBB Dan, MBIKE mike, NMSki, Nastar Glenn, Slim, Enjorales, Enjorales dad, Gah Skier George and many others. First civilian six pack again..Razors was sa weet had a nice run on it before the race team took it over. Then challenge which was $$$$, nightmare to dreamweaver was sweet as was sidewinder. With the front face skied it was off to switchback which was good and no people on the so could ski it in about three and a half turns. I tried lazy mile one along with the glades to the right which were playful and spicy 🌶. Skied some bumps as well which were scratchy. During the entire morning there there were no liftlines and I don't expect much crowd this afternoon. In the lot JFDan had his heater going and enjorales grilled up sausage, sliders and Steak and it was mad steezy yo!!! Super good. Another day of good conditions at Blue mountain the true mountain capping off a December to remember where we received 5 snowfalls and some of the best snowmaking conditions imaginable. JADIP. See everybody at opening bell tomorrow
  13. Hey All, I'm back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. It was around 11 degrees when I arrived at the lower lot at 725am and not as windy as yesterday but still very cold. In the house were JfDan, PARidge, Toast, Slim, GahSkier George and many others. No indiggio today..it's always a mystery which Subaru he comes in I think he alternates. Ended up on the second civilian six pack..slackers..Challenge was a carpet for first run so nice..then hit up Razors and there was a layer of about 3" of beautiful diamond dust lighter than the tears of an unborn baby wow was it good so we hit that three times. I still haven't been on razorback yet this season. Did one run on sidewinder and it was like Toasts favorite Katie Perry song Hot and Cold..some good spots some not so good. Switchback is open i skied it once and it was good for the first day just just ok compared to the other terrain. Main Street had nice snow and so did lazy mile which was crazy mile. We took the quad up once and gosh the piles on nightmare to dreamweaver are massive and the groomers were also grooming out the massive whales in Central Park. Guns were also blowing on the two glade runs. Paradise was also good but a little crowded and I skied Paradise twice. The highlight of today was being on the res chair not once but twice..the red chair is sweet and the red color stores heat so it's a good chair to ride if you wanna warm up your buns or hands. After skiing the last four days in a row with at least three more on tap I had my Phil like Mickelson and left..did not have any beers today just drove straight to work put together a deposit and going to the bank then lunch then read what Salty is up to and take a nap..ski everybody this weekend. Hopefully AngryHugo, Johnny Law and NMSki will be out I haven't seen those guys much.
  14. Hey All, I'm back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I rocked out to Lil Pump and Huey Lewis and the News on the drive up and I arrived in the lower lot at 7:26AM and a second later Indiggio arrived followed by Atomic Jeff, Shadows, Toast, Slim, Root and a random guy who got to ride first chair with the PASRs. I was on the mantras and they loved challenge but I would have enjoyed challenge on snowblades today as it was majestic to start. Not many times I ski challenge four times in the first hour usually it's a once and done wham bam thank you mam today I didn't want to just hit it and quit it I'd rather stay and play when in came to challenge.. Main Street was good but a little dark similar snow to challenge especially on the bottom..lazy mile and paradise were alright a little slow..snow guns were cranking in Central Park, switchback, razors edge and nightmare to dreamweaver. Everything will be open in the next 48-72 hours you heard it here first. I only skied sidewinder once early..it was alright..but not as good as the others so I didn't return but I'm glad sidewinder is back in the lineup for me. I skied it sometimes when it was a terrain park and used to get mad steeZy air a decade+ ago but it's a nice run when they widen the corners it will be a winner. Shadows was on my shiros the first hour and a half or so just comparing different types of skis then he switched to atomic jeffs Kastles and Jeff was on my shiros and was pushing it to the limit on Main Street.wne midrun released from one of the skis and the ski went in a straight line for no less than 350 vert from the end of the bumps almost to where switchback cuts into Main Street. Atomic Jeff was ok I skied down retrieved my ski from a snowmakers who happened to see it all happen only some minor topsheet damage to the ski..shadows picked up the brake that was near the ejection site and Atomic Jeff skied down on one ski then back to the base on both but missing a brake on one. A screwdriver and an engineer and all was fine. Then I went in the lodge to use facility shadows returned my skis to his car sans brake on one ski and got his skis and we did a few more runs...Challenge was icy at this point around 10am then did lazy mile which was still ok and no real lip on the falls for the Toast and Indiggio to get mad steeZy air off of. Had a beer in the lot then Root came to the lot had another beer was going to go to the BMDI with shadows and Atomic Jeff but closed..stopped at work on the way home took take in the mail and now thinking about if I'm gonna need another layer tomorrow gonna be mad brick.
  15. Hey All, I'm back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. When I arrived at 7:25am it was around 29 degrees under overcast sky's and the guns were turned off due to the moist and warmish weather. In the house were JFBBDan, Matt Edge, TP4, Ryan, Enjorales, Enjorales Dad, Johnny Law, PARidge, MBike Mike, Atomic Jeff, TP4, Shadows, NMSki, Atomic Jeff, Root, Toast, Slim, GahSkier George, Pheong, Natasha, Leroy and Harry..also a couple Gary's. First civilian chair again and I began the day skiing on Matt Edge Rossi 88s which I had fun on a few seasons ago. I also skied a run on Atomic jeffs Kastles..and was back on the shiros for several runs as well to mix things up. First run on challenge was better than yesterday the cookies and snow dried out a little and wasn't quite as firm but was still lipstick on a pig as it cookied up later. Paradise was also better than yesterday good for a few runs. Lazy mile and both Main streets continued to have the best conditions and were some runs not to busy and some runs crazy. No lifelines but a decent amount of people and blue is selling a good amount of tickets and tubers out as well enjoying the mild December day..gosh in the lot it was downright warm and Enjorales served up Bratwurst, pork and beef and all very good...had some good beers and was on my way home by 1230pm..as ice cube once said..Today was a good day!!!
  16. Hey All, I'm back from a fun Saturday at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 728AM and JFDan was already there and also in the house were Atomic Jeff, Toast, Johnny Law, Nastar Glenn, Ryan, Justo, GSSucks, Enjorales, Enjorales dad, Ty, Indiggio, Rodney, MBike Mike, Mrs. Snowbunski and many more. Temperatures were around ten degrees to start and rose through the teens. First run was challenge..I easystyled it as it was solid..and cookes but double diamond terrain what what. Main Street was the run of the day at least early on. Was nice cord on the top half and chalky on the low half. There was a fog layer around lower terrain run which made things spicy. Paradise is open as well and will get good in a day or two but the typical first day roughness. Lazy mile has good snow and is crazy mile with the race team doing their snakes..the falls got steeper over the summer and Burma got longer I kid I kid but Burma and back was fun and then I skied a lot more Main Street runs and finished out on lazy to the falls to the men's room to the parking lot to dank beers..and tomorrow will be more of the same and conditions should even be better and will be a little warmer.
  17. Hey All, I'm back from a fun Sunday morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the upper lot around 7:25am and in the house were Toast, AtomicJeff, JFBB Dan, TP4, Guitar, SaltyAnt, Matt Edge, Root, Indiggio, MBike Mike, Mrs. Snowbunski, Nastar Glenn and many many many many more. Yesterdays predicted 1-3" turned out to be 6+ inches of snow across the region which brought out all the Tom Dick and Harry's. Conditions were very nice right out the gate and the only true hardpack was upper Main Street which debuted for the season today. Easy out, vista, come around, midway and Main Street were all nice midwinter conditions..the top of lazy mile was great bottom a little bit narrow still good just have to be careful passing people. Liftlines went from zero to 100 real quick. Most waits were like 5-12 minutes after about 8:45am was impossible to keep both lifts at full capacity with just two scanners but I had some nice runs am not complaining but I know people who got there after like 930-10 were only getting about 2.5 runs an hour which is rare but happens with a early snowfall with limited capacity I quit around 10am and even did the vista once for stoke and got some untracked..fun parking lot session and good people watching today..temperatures began around 20 and rose through the 20s into the low 30s with moderate wins and partly sunny sky's. 6-pack and lower lodge and lot along with tubing will be on tap for next weekend along with 7 days a week operation..high five for stoke pass it down.
