lumilautailija Posted April 15, 2014 Report Share Posted April 15, 2014 Has bear Creek ever had/considered lift accessible Downhill mountain biking?I am surprised they haven't yet, Spring mountain seems to bring in a lot of business from it. They definitely have the land for it. I know they have the existing trail system but I mean full on downhill with jumps and such nifty things. I think the US championship XC races were there last year and may be there this year again. I kind of get the feeling DH mountain biking isn't really in their game plan, or part of their desired clientele. From what i hear most of their revenue is driven from summer weddings at this point, so they don't really need to stimulate summer business and DH mountain biking is probably small potatoes money wise/ not really worth the effort. Also, not sure they want a bunch of sweaty DH riders hanging around the background of wedding pics or crashing receptions at the bar.
