trying to stay positive, as i still see some stuff that says we will get cold before, but just going off the 10-15 day, im gonna have a back up plan for that weekend for some things to do besides ski.  i wont go zero, but its pretty low at this point.  

we need 2-3 days of cold to get some shit open.  making snow at 30 degrees for 3 hours a night will just put us all on pills watching the cams.

Agreed, the current extended forecast ain't great, unless the mountain has the same magic bubble they seemed to have last year. Lost track of how many times I thought it was just too marginal based on forecast and reported temps in the closest towns, and they were cranking out snow

My prediction is that once we get past this bit of slightly above avg temps we will enjoy a consistently cold (and hopefully snowy) December and January.

So i went back to look at last year, and i would have bet money they opened on Black Friday.  they didnt.  they opened December 6th.  But i do clearly remember early December had good snowmaking temps.  i hope the flip switches this year again in early December.

About time to head to VT….  They’ve had a hell of a start this year the further up you go.  I think we’ll be lucky for 2nd week of December without a dramatic change.

do you have lights and siren in that cop car?  you could probably make it in like 3.5 hrs to Okemo.

Not those lights and no siren. Checking timing to Stowe as they are opening with 50 trails in 2 days.
