That's not the resort but the actual notch itself, that's legit gnar gnar.

Years ago a meathead died in the notch when a wet slide pushed him off a cliff. Alec something...

The people in the article claimed they were laid back cause it's the east coast. Avalanches occur on slopes that are 30 degrees or more.

.Increased Risk for Avalanches in the North Country...

Recent heavy snowfall combined with previous warm ups have created
the potential for avalanches in the exposed back country of the
Green Mountains in Vermont and the Adirondacks in northern New
York. Several small avalanches have already been reported.

Outdoor enthusiasts heading into the back country through the
upcoming weekend need to be aware of the avalanche danger and the
associated risks involved. Steep, open slopes will have the
highest potential avalanche risk.

If you go into the back country of the Adirondacks Mountains or
Green Mountains to snow shoe, ski, or ice climb, be aware of the
avalanche danger and take the appropriate precautions.

WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT
THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches,
with localized amounts up to 8 inches possible along the
Western Slopes and northern Adirondack Mountains.

* WHERE...Vermont side of the Champlain Valley...Western
Slopes...and portions of northeast Vermont.

* WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT Thursday.
