Great day on the groomers at Okemo. 16 runs - 12 from the Bubble as it was chilly. When I posted my stat Insaw that I beat my vertical record by about 60 feet.

I've never been to Okemo, it's on my list this winter. I don't care what the haters say, groomers are fun.

Thanks!  Looking forward to going back and exploring some more terrain. Our class mostly did the terrain off the Ajax express lift. We concentrated on 5 or 6 bump runs and did them over and over. It was nice to know what to expect and the bumps did change day to day.

Repetition is the best way to learn to ski bumps.

When Blue had their bump clinic, they set a line on the Summit learning hill next to a magic carpet lift so we could lap them as many times as possible.  The instructors stood next to the run shouting out corrections as we went down over and over and over again.

My instructor was great!  One of my issues is that I tend to squat down too much when I get nervous. One run she went behind me the whole time and every time she saw me doing thst she screamed “stand the fuck up.”  It helped. 😂

What was interesting with yesterday's bump line was with the sun at our backs we could see our shadow out in front and I could see when I was hunching over and had to straighten my back.  The bad part was that I tended to look at my shadow instead of the oncoming bumps which really screwed up my timing.

I’ve had that scenario before it’s usually high noon. 🤠

Tis a glorious winter wonderland here in Marble.

Decided to go skinning at Buttermilk.  Buttermilk logistic are so freaking easy.  The main parking lot is right at the bottom of the lift.  There are 3 skin routes, I chose West Buttermilk since it’s the easiest and this was my first real uphill day.  About 1200’ of vert.  The parking for W Buttermilk is right in the trail! You walk out of your car and step on the snow.

Stopped at the top at the Cliff House for a little water break.  Overcast skies but warm temps.

Good to see you killing it!  But I have to ask,  where did the yellow snow in the last pic come from?:snowpee:

@GrilledSteezeSandwich ski down was uneventful. My touring skis are fatter than my other ones. Always feels weird skiing on them first few times. Legs were a bit tired.

@theprogram4 haha didn’t notice that. Guess someone really had to go.

Watch out where the huskies go and don’t you eat that yellow snow.
