Popular Post mbike-ski Posted January 22, 2023 Popular Post Report Posted January 22, 2023 Thursday night forecast was calling for 6-10 at Gore, drove through rain until it turned to snow just south of Lake George. Drove through some Star Wars snow on the way to the hill Friday morning, only about 3” fell but first few freshly coated groomers were sublime, Lies opened up mid morning and was mad technical navigating wales , rocks and bumps. Mild temps, falling snow, low crowds and watching kids from all over the world huck their meat in the World University games made for a great day! Pico ski’d awesome today, 7or so inches groomed in for some early morning western groometish screamers before lapping summit glades au natural until legs and snow got beat up. Heard crowds at K were krazy, we had another day of country club skiing. Christened the new skis with a nice gash but as @indiggio says, outta the box and into the rocks ! Magic tomorrow on Indy Pass 10 6 1

Johnny Law Posted January 22, 2023 Report Posted January 22, 2023 Your timing is impeccable, that's gotta be one of the better cycles all year so far in the NE. Love Pico, lotta racer types but A&B slope are awesome if it's super windy and the glades off the peak chair are dope. 1
Popular Post mbike-ski Posted January 23, 2023 Author Popular Post Report Posted January 23, 2023 It sure was nice seeing everything coated in white. Magic today, natural trails were pretty ski’d off but fun, migrated back to the groomed with fun little bump line forming along the edge of the race training slope 9 2 1
momskeeztoo Posted January 23, 2023 Report Posted January 23, 2023 I haven’t been to Gore in ages. It is a fun mountain.
Popular Post mbike-ski Posted January 12 Author Popular Post Report Posted January 12 ‘25 repeat- got an early start at Gore Friday to beat the forecasted rain. Started off with perfect groomers under blue bird skies, empty. Country club skiing. Even got ito the woods a bit and made the Gore fb page https://www.facebook.com/share/1873oDWV93/?mibextid=wwXIfr took a late lunch and came out to steady rain so called it. hit Pico yesterday to firm conditions, never really softened up. upper mountain was mad brick so lapped lower mountain groomers all day with a technical natural snow connect the dots run on Lasso Plan was to hit Magic today but decided to head south based on yesterdays conditions figuring it might soften sooner. Ski’d in two states at Catamount , conditions were slightly better on the sunny NY side than in shady Massatwoshits, although neither state never really softened up 9 1 1

I concur on the upper mountain conditions. 4 1
