Big Boulder, once home to the longest season in PA, closing this weekend.

-Closing with the best conditions of the season. 

-JF still open, we will see for how long.

-Aside from western PA, This will make Jack frost the only EPICtm resort open in eastern and southern PA. 

-Blue is making snow at lower elevation and in a warmer climate while big boulder closes.

But at the same time, 10 years ago or whatever when i was a passholder, they would close JF with redic amounts of snow, and leave Boulder open.  So, really, nothing has changed except which one they keep open later.  I highly doubt Blue makes it past next weekend.

The beginner lift broke down last week at JF. So they will only be offering whatever advanced and intermediate terrain they have remaining at JF until closing. I think their last accessible beginner terrain was at BB which closed over the weekend. 

There hasn't been an announcement on closing yet but I can't imagine they'll push things beyond this weekend without a working beginner lift.
