Popular Post mbike-ski Posted February 14, 2025 Popular Post Report Posted February 14, 2025 MrsSnoBunSki and I set sail for Jay in the cold, rain and snow early Thursday morning, becoming all snow right around Albany. Friday morning we woke up to howling winds and boot deep snow. The wind would keep all the upper mountain lifts closed, so we lapped the the fractional Moons and Bushwacker before taking an early lunch. It was a ton of fun and the low angle trees would provide a good warmup for Saturday. After lunch we had the great idea to make the drive to check out Bolton Valley only to find that Indy redemptions are limited to one a day. Implementing Plan C we slummed it with a few beers at the Alchemist. A few more inches overnight and diminished winds gave the green light for Saturday morning, finding everything from a few inches on corduroy to knee deep snow all over the mountain. Lines moved quickly except for the tram (which we skipped - again!) It was hard to contain my powder frenzy but I did so enough to get my fill of trees and get MrSnoBunSki in and out of her comfort zone. My best day at Jay with no wind (’cept on the Flyer lol), deep blower, sun and snow showers. Dumping again when we left for home Sunday morning, we made a stop at Berkshire East which had gotten around 6" or so. More great snow but the lines were a little long so we only got 6-7 runs in before heading south to watch the Birds annihilate the Chiefs -GO BIRDS!!! 9 1
trackbiker Posted February 14, 2025 Report Posted February 14, 2025 (edited) Nice report. Skied Berkshire East last Saturday. Conditions were great all over the mountain. The only line was at the HSQ. The quad with the carpet loader next to it is actually faster if there's a line at the HSQ. That and the Exhibition Quad were ski-on. Exhibition was down so we alternated between the HSQ and fixed grip lookers left

Vista r unning for some squeaky groomers and abandoned Mrs s for awhile for some knee deep turns in the trees and maybe the the biggest ice/ rock band I’ve ever dropped Edited January 31 by mbike-ski 10 2

Balmy 6 below lol. Actually felt warmer than Jays +5 today with a breeze here and there. Mellow day with squeaky snow, lapped bonaventure most of the day, only one run off the freezer err flyer. Did some soft bumps and low angle trees but skis just weren’t coming around fast enough today to do much more than that Edited January 31 by mbike-ski 7

Best snow was in beaver pond / Andrea’s area wish I could catch the the cookin’ jazz trio with a hand pulled heady after a day at Jay every Friday, smoked sausage at pro pig and snowing hard on the way back to Williston. mbike-ski Posted February 22 Author Report Posted February 22 6” fresh at Bolton Valley, so laid back, finding fresh snow all day. Even got some local intel for some fun unmarked goods apres at fiddlehead and burgers at farmhouse Burlington, good day 3 3
mbike-ski Posted February 23 Author Report Posted February 23 (edited) rounded out the Indy weekend with a stop at West, ghost town, maybe 50-100 people on the slopes, maybe saw 5-6 each run. Low thirties with 1-2" over pristine grooming, laying down fresh tracks until 12:30 over the fun undulating terrain. Fish tacos at Common Roots Brewing before heading home. This cool NYS 13 pointer was the only pic I took ‘cept for another selfie that looks like every other one... Edited February 23 by mbike-ski 5
