I can't wait. This is my new home mountain. Actually this is my old home mountain. 2002-2008. I get two days at Montage, Shawnee and Big Bear too so that will be fun. Wow.

I remember visiting Shawnee once with a friend. It was 2004 so we were like 14. It was April, the last weekend they were open and they had an onion snow the night before. Like 6 inches. Had a blast. Wow.

I got yelled at by a ski patroller at Big Bear because I was looking at a closed trail. Next time I go I'll make sure to get kicked out. Wow.

Did you do the Indy add on/Bear Creek pass?  Shawnee can be fun.  Terrain is mellow but any time I've been there in a week day it's been totally empty

Yeah. BC season pass with Indy add-on. Maybe I'll try the Finger Lakes this year too.

My friend Katie got fingered in the finger lakes.

She should visit Lake Titicaca sometime.

Looks like I still get to go to Montage Mountain in the Poconos, PA. I'm very happy. I wanted to use my two days at Montage. I like it there and you can buy beer at the top.

I pick up my pass today. But they don't have your picture on it anymore which is kinda a bummer.

They started making snow last night. Guns on again tonight.

Made my first License Plate Club Indy+ redemption yesterday afternoon at Bear Creek. Nice to see them so close to fully open this early in the season and it was a nice to experience for the first time in years their unique and entertaining trail lay out which makes a local hill ski larger than it is, and includes some fun brief steeps.

Skied briefly past sunset, long enough to see the local Friday night high school crowd come in which was fun to see as it is so much younger from what I see skiing anywhere else I go, as I rarely am anywhere for “night” skiing hours.

A place I rarely go anymore, but I have been hitting it very occasionally since it’s Doe days and it fit the bill nicely yesterday when I freed up in the early afternoon - as the closest place on my pass and a place that would not close up at 4, though I still left around 5 as crowds built and it got chillier.

Nice packed powder groomed conditions everywhere, though one of the blacks had some scraped off patches late in the day.

Was real nice today. About 6 inches of snow overnight and on and off this morning. Not crowded even when I left around 12:30.

Thought I might not like coming back here but I did enjoy it.
