was there no free parking whatsoever at cbk?

Parking was free when I started skiing there around 2017. I don't recall when but at some point they started charging parking for everyone except season pass holders, even for snowtubing.

What's "general parking" include?

I think that's all parking except for the premium parking closest to the lifts that saves like 30 steps

I believe last year they moved to all paid parking with different tier levels based on location. I could be wrong. Glad to see them stop scamming people out of more money. Maybe I'll visit once or twice.

Camelback has new GM, so there should be some changes.  Probably fucking up shit this year, like they did last year, well, that might not lead to a long career as GM.  I hope they get their shit together.

i am assuming this is where the free parking will be.

I thought they had free parking in lot 5 or 7 previously?

New GM has been running Great Wolf lodges across the country until this job. Fun fact: His wife graduated high school with BooBear so I've seen him on social media for years but didn't know he was interested in snow.

Free parking def is step in the right direction, now they just have to allow tailgating.

i have no idea where 5 or 7 are, im not a seasoned skier/tuber at Camelback, but i was greeted somewhere in the red circle with a little card on how to pay, and nobody said to me "oh, you are cheap?  park in that lot"

One time a 17 year old with a palm pilot thing walked up to me while I was taking my boots off and listening to Lynyrd Skynyrd and he was like "I have to give you a ticket" and I was like "are you a cop, son?" and he said no and walked away.

True story.

I think everywhere was paid parking, unless I'm wrong. Maybe some Camelback expert like @eaf can weigh in

Shout out to the palm pilot. I was a pocket PC guy back in the day. The ability to carry like 10 mp3 files was mind blowing.

According to the Camelback die hards on Faceplace, they do allow tailgating. There's one poster, Ray, that's like their cheerleader/lot leader. I'm not sure if it's in a certain lot that they look the other way, or something. Pops and I were definitely asked about the contents of our solo cups, but that was about 6 years ago at least at this point.

They've posted receipts like the photo below, so I have no doubt they're being honest and tailgating regularly. I do know that they park kind of out in bumfuck, maybe even in Dan's circle. Maybe that's the trick, or maybe Camel softened up the past few years. In unrelated news, I need a PASR flag for the tailgate, lol

That same Faceplace page I mentioned has multiple people what claim to have gotten many "tickets" there and just threw them away, lol. There's no legal enforcement behind it, I guess if they found someone back multiple times they could have you towed or something. But apparently the citations are ignored by many. Probably one of the reasons they went back to free. Certainly the PR is the main one, but I wouldn't be surprised if the payment rate factored in

That was taken just before security came out

There was a lower lot by the downstairs lodge. You know the mini lodge by the bottom of the learning area that you could tailgate in. This was over ten years ago though.
