Empty, some of BFG's crew, air and c1er but otherwise the single digits kept it empty. No snow guns on.

I only had until 1030 but with the upcoming weather change the time was now.

Everything was hard fast and smooth with very very good grip. First run on coming soon with no wing man and dark it almost felt too fast.

Rotd was raceway, mid, main it's so nice to put the hammer all the way down and air the midway lump with no kooks around.

Just an all around superb morning before what I fear is a big surface change. It's almost certainly undiagnosed autism but for some reason Don Henley was in my head all morning.

how is snow production on Raisins?

i only care cause i want them to be done with that so they move onto something we get to ski.  looks like we go back to our typical Eastern PA weather forecast by the end of the week.  Frigid cold, warm up, piss hot rain, then right back into the freezer.  it was fun while it lasted.

Sucks. Unless we get heavy rainfall, lack of water could be a serious problem this season. And if we do get heavy rainfall it's detrimental to the snow already on the mountain, requiring more water to repair, which we do not have a lot of. So we'll need more rainfall to fix the snow that was ruined by previous rainfall, then more rain after that to fix the snow damaged by that earlier rainfall which will only be ruined by the rainfall needed to make more snow only to be ruined again by rainfall. Ugh.

Looks like they blew last night and pushed out the whales, but only on the skier left half. Possible the won’t open with full width.

Busted the VIP lanes on the quad. Was first in line, it opened, then immediately closed, and wouldn’t reopen until the tablet guy got there and opened it for me. Both lanes were closed off after that.

Arrived at 430 and had a couple runs solo before @Dirtwolf joined. Way better than what I was expecting. Some slick spots but pretty smooth and grippy for the most part. Played in right side of Coming Soon and that snow felt good. Skied to 630 and not that busy. Couple random ski race teams I’ve never heard of (Ridge?)

Bottom of headwall to home stretch on Raisins could be pushed out to half way. Decent looking piles. I think all the snow up too blew over the hill into Danielsville. I did see someone poaching it and promptly face planted under the quad WTGAI

It is what it is. The melt later this week should provide enough water for the racer kids to have razors open for Xmas week.

Raisins guns going at 5:52 am.  pretty decent pile on the Raisins cam at the run out, so thats encouraging.  They should just push Raisins into a 20' white racing ribbon of death to make the racing that much more exciting.  Full width is for trailer park people.

Home mountain of Mountain Creek is probably why we don't see them often. When is GSS coming for a night session??

Reminds me the big right hander on Lazy had zero lights for about 6 or 7 poles in a row last night. New lights look good but a lot are still off.

Thank you for staying positive!! That's the spirit. I always look for the bright side of things. And plus, all this melt will be really grate for the snowmaking retention ponds.

i would assume since the guns are still going on Raisins, they are planning on blowing till they cant, and then setting up the cookie field for opening this weekend.  Its ashame with the rain coming up we will lose all of the god given ground cover.  if nothing else, its just nice to ski when everything is white.
