Popular Post indiggio Posted December 21, 2025 Popular Post Report Posted December 21, 2025 It was back in 2020 that we were out here last and the first run down then was so grate it was at that point I decided I needed to move out here at some point before I die…. I finally got my ass in gear and decided the conditions were worth giving a go. A quick look at the webcam and it’s snowing up there, I’m going. I decided to do the ecological thing and see how this ski bus thing works. UTA runs buses every 1/2 hour up both canyons to reduce traffic and parking congestion. i futzed around and waiting too long to get my ski stuff together, so I missed the first bus. I didn’t need to be there that early anyway. 7 min ride to the P&R and a 40 min ride up the canyon and I was at the mountain with 20 mins till 8am open. Not bad at all. 32’ at the base, the snow was a little slushy and the air was warmish. Up the Moonbeam and into some groomer. Wow, no slush and soft snow. What is that silence? Back up the Moonbeam and across some ungroomed fluff field, nice. Ran into a bumped up trail that I really didn’t need first thing, but it was fun. Spent the next 2 hours lapping the Apex. Found a gated trail marked thin and expert, so had to try it. It was thin but not expert, but nobody was on it so worth lapping. The legs were shot by 10:30, so made my way back to the bus station. Busses run right on time. Of course somebody had to drive off the road and into a ditch. How they did it on dry pavement is anyone’s guess. A pretty good day considering the warmth and lack of snow out here. 13

Yes indeed, goes without saying! Lemme know the dates and we'll definitely get together! Hopefully more towards the end of January so there's more opportunity for more snow to fall. Funny, riding with some locals and hearing them complain about conditions, yet we'd kill for those conditions at Blue. Edited December 22, 2025 by indiggio 2
