indiggio Posted December 27, 2025 Report Posted December 27, 2025 Forecast was calling for 8-10” up at the mountain, so it was off to catch the 1st bus to hopefully beat the crowds. It was raining with some snow mixed in when I got on the bus. By the time we hit the canyon road it was pumping down full-on snow, finally! Arrived at the mountain to heavy snow with about 4” At the base. Lined up at 7:55 to the announcement of a short delay on the open and some avy bombs going off. Up the Moonbeam to 5-6” and back down through the perder. Back up and down over to the Apex for a few laps until I couldn’t find anymore fresh. It was near 9 and they were gonna open up the Sunrise lift, so headed over there and waited for it to open. It’s a donkey triple, so a pleasant ride through the woods to give the legs some rest as I’m way outta shape for a pow day. Lapped the Sunrise a bunch of times and headed back to Apex and back down. Had my full and caught the bus back into town. Heard over the radio there was a car on its side in a gulch in LCC. 7 2
