Hey All,

 

I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 820am and it was around 20 degrees under overcast skys with light winds.  In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, Dirtwolf, Nastar Glenn, Bethlehem ford crew, Mark, TheDude and many others.  
 

There was quite the lineup for opening bell and the OG six kept stopping on the way up and the quad was not running.  I skied Razors first and fresh blow over pow pow on the top headwall was quite good.  At the base there was already a half corral lift line back up OG six pack and skied switchback which was ok but a little scratchier than yesterday.  Then to the super summit safari six pack which stopped for several minutes right before we got on then they closed it and I high tailed it to the quad which just opened. 
 

Up the quad and the quad stopped for several minutes, at one point all three high speeds were stopped. I skied a pretty empty Paraweaver ok snow and they blew some crappy snow bottom of paradise and was rolly Polly. I then ended my short session with a few runs on Main Street which was ok but X-ing had some sweet cord. 
 

Today was by far the busiest day of the season and Blue was dumb for not paying attention to the calender and making today a holiday with holiday pricing and hours.  I think they should do dynamic pricing on food as well. Todays crowd would definitely pay a couple extra sheckels for a chicken sandwich as it was the Jersey New York Asian invasion types with electric cars..weird wild stuff.

Shit was crazy yo.......I was jonesing to get back at it and the snow in general didn't disappoint.

First run down NMDW and I finally got that right before she takes her shirt off kinda feeling. I was a bit sloppy but never mind, let's get physical and drop the hammer.

Shit razors and switch too could be most epic however as it often does the lifts and general hoard of barbarians pumped the brakes. 

Some noodling can be fun but this was 95 style and as to the lifts....... it just wasn't my day. Most rides it stopped and started like Michael J Fox in an earthquake and then I got separated from the pack with a 10 or so min wait.

Most excellent general conditions but way too many Jerry's in the house today.

Woah. January hits and blue is back to being blue. We'll always have December I guess, with its smallish crowds and good snow. Twas nice.
