Montage 1/4/26

Hit Montage today from 9 to 12.  Started off hitting Boomer, smoke,  and cannonball.   A little icy to start but not too bad.   Grabbed a beer from the car and did cannonball down to the long haul.   3 runs off that...hit Rattler to cannonball and back to the long haul twice.  

Then back to phoebe snow lift...2 runs on White lightning/Whitesnake, Boomer, and 2 runs on Smoke.  

After that it was around 12.  Midland still wasn't open so I walked to the lodge...breakfast sandwich, Montage mule, and a bloody Mary for lunch 

Pretty good day.  They were blowing a lot of snow and lower fast track, I would expect that to open soon

I was there yesterday as well. Skied 9:00-1:00. Conditions were good. A little scratchy in spots but carveable. White lightning had soft manmade with a little natural mixed in and skied great.

Montage never really gets crowded but I never saw it so empty on a Sunday when we got there a little before 9:00. A patroller told us it was mobbed on Friday but yesterday and today were pretty empty. They did open lower Fast Track and upper has huge whales on it and they were still making snow so they'll likely push it out soon.
