GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted Saturday at 06:00 PM Report Posted Saturday at 06:00 PM Hey All, I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 7:21am and already a bunch of PASRs in the house…pretty much all the PASRs were there except Salty, Matt Edge, Boo Bear, VTMark, Toast, Atomic Jeff and Zonked. It was in the mid 30s under cloudy skies. First civilian six pack and I skied challenge first which was solid and it that smooth and there’s a little hole in the falls. Next run down Main Street had a smooth lane and to the sides of that frozen crud. Then paradise the first 2/3 was nice the right before the big corner sludge and then rolly Polly boilerplate bottom part. Last mile was pretty pleasent with a smooth lane as well. I skied lazy twice to lower sidewinder for variety and the corners on lower sidewinder were soft. Went back to Main Street via X-ing and X-ing still had fresh cord but it was bulletproof. The crud next to the smooth part of Main Street had softened and I milked some short turns on the side of the trail next to the non existent spine. I did lazy again and ended with a full run on Burma. I hung out in the parking lot longer than I skied today and a fun parking lot with bratwursts and chips compliments of Dirtwolf. I’ll be back tomorrow and rumor has it the sun will come out. JADIP 8 1
AirheadD8 Posted Saturday at 07:07 PM Report Posted Saturday at 07:07 PM Timing is everything….. I didn’t plan on skiing today but work cooperated and got there after 10. On the way up I realized I left my ski pants at home so Jeans it was. I hit the lazy glades , relatively ok then Main st glades were much firmer. Paradise was nice then I headed over to Barneys. I hung out up top and found a light bump crew for today . Slim , Drew, Mike and young Jake from the Blue Mogul team ( very talented) he didn’t mind skiing with the nursing home fugitives. Barneys softened up enough to be super fun. Skied a bunch on Barney till it started to drizzle. 6
Johnny Law Posted Saturday at 07:13 PM Report Posted Saturday at 07:13 PM Today the snow was underwhelming at best, you could find a patch or more accurately a groomer path where maybe you could make some turns. Otherwise shit was too high commitment to really put an edge in. Rotd was Bohdi's dogs, cheddar makes everything better. 3
RidgeRacer Posted Saturday at 08:38 PM Report Posted Saturday at 08:38 PM Today was one of those higher than normal decibel level days where you needed earplugs to drown out the scratching sounds from not just your turns, but everyone around you. some shock absorbers would have been nice too. If there was a bright spot it was the fall in free fall. Meh session. Had to leave right after skiing. 2 2
