Mixilplix Posted January 16 Report Posted January 16 (edited) Crispy 21 degree bluebird morning as I rolled into the lot. I haven't been here for like 25+ years, but thanks to Indy here I am. First time skinnin' with ski boots on my feet. They were surprisingly comfortable. Lower part of the Kittatinny trail was pretty much just frozen cord which mad it a little tricky going up the steeper parts. Upper part had some nice fresh groomed man made which was very nice. Hung a right and made my way up the Bennekill trail to the lift. Back down and up the same trail but hung a left to go to the top at the Hiawatha chair. They were blowing crazy snow so the last few hundred yard were through a man made blizzard. Did one lift run then called it. Felt really good to do some uphill even if it was resort riding. This place is like a time capsule, looked like nothing has changed. They still use paper tickets. Edited January 16 by Mixilplix 4 4 1
GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted January 17 Report Posted January 17 Nice report and pictures. Perfect temperatures today with the sun and I remember you talking about uphill at Shawnee sausage Sunday!!!
mbike-ski Posted January 17 Report Posted January 17 Mr mix couldn’t wait and Mrs Snobunski forgot to bring her skis home so I did a sunset solo lap and a third to work the tranny. No pics but strava says it happened. 4
