RidgeRacer Posted January 24 Report Posted January 24 Hey all. Just back from a really nice morning at a very cold blue mountain. Jackson Frost was definitely nipping at our nose with 1 degree when I left the crib. 2 when I pulled in. I was a 5 later player up top and a 4 layer player down low (if you count my draws). In the house were Mixl, Dan, Jeff, Wolf, Ben, Law, Mark, PSU and many others. First two runs on NMDW were a dream but my head became a block of ice...it was then that I realized that my helmet vents were open...gaper move in my part for sure. After that we were smooth sailing however especially with toe and hand warmers in tow. Conditions wise, Everything was nice and extra grippy today. Free fall was a close second to nightmare dream and switchback was pretty good too. Main was kinda weird and sorta off kilter but hella grippy and fun. Some cookies here and there but minimal. No razors today but shallaange was pretty decent. Switch too. All in all I gave it an 8.2 which translates into a great day. The hot topic on the hill, of course, was what will ultimately happen tomorrow. I guess we'll know soon. Either way...today was great and cold or no cold it was a pretty awesome morning. 9

AirheadD8 Posted January 24 Report Posted January 24 Slept in thinking the wind would still be ripping but things calmed down. Got to Blue at 9 and parked in the hinterlands. Coming soon skiers right bumps were iced but they blew some new snow. Lower Barneys had 2” of new blown snow so I did about 3runs and the lower main guns had some new as well. Bailed 10:30 to do some work that I blew off yesterday. Stoked for Monday, hopefully we get what’s expected. I have a BC line I haven’t done since 2014 ! 3

PSUFrankenstein Posted January 24 Report Posted January 24 It was pretty cold but conditions were surprisingly pretty good. Hung out for a while in the lot, then stopped for a cheesesteak and beer at saucony creek in kutztown. 6

At 7:48am I watched atomic Jeff walk back into line from the bathroom then at 8:00 and 20 seconds saw the mad dash to the six pack and at 8:08 saw the boys make the hard left turn after homestretch, it was radical. 1 1

NMDW continues to be the rotm with super grip and an upper left you could really hit the apex on which carries so much more speed into the right. Challenge was nearly as good which for Challenge is almost better and it's so nice to freight train all the way to the falls. Obviously the focus is on the storm and giving blue shit but personally I was unlikely to be there anyways. The touring rig is ready. Super shout out as pops was back on the hill today 7 1
