GrilledSteezeSandwich Posted February 28 Report Posted February 28 Hey All, I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am and in the house was everybody except Johnny Law, AngryHugo, Zonked, BenM and Toast. The temperature was in the upper 20s at the base and 33 degrees at the upper lot entrance, mad inversion Yo!! Third civilian OG six pack. I started on Paradise which was one step better than frozen cord. Then challenge which was similar conditions and smooth enough. Main Street was crappy small cookies…Lazy mile was deep thick sugar. I repeated challenge again and still ok…Sidewinder was decent the root rollers are less pronounced. Repeated challenge again and amazing how much that run goes downhill in an hour but there were a decent amount of people out and about. I ended the session with more paradise and got on X-ing earlier as well. I’m sure by now it’s starting to become spring conditions. Now at work like a dork with my chic fil A and customer in 45 minutes. JADIP 7
RidgeRacer Posted February 28 Report Posted February 28 You know it's a crazy day when NMDW (with features) and side are ROTD. Cookies and sugar otherwise. Not a bad day. Just not great. That said...a lot of the crew went out after the sun did it's thing...likely more spring like and better for that second sesh. I did not so cannot say. Crowds were getting stupid. When I went in for a summit S'mores, the line for guest services stretched back into the lodge, past the cafeteria and all the way up to the sliding glass doors. I wonder if the kiosks went down. Either way. It's absolutely gorgeous outside. Happy March. See you all tomorrow. 7
AirheadD8 Posted February 28 Report Posted February 28 Second session was interesting, I took a run down the Chute first session and it wasn’t too bad very firm but edgeable . The golf ball’s on lower main dissolved. The chute got kinda slick and was still ok but a lot faster. 60° when I got home. Barney's was the same, quit around Noon . 3
saltyant Posted February 28 Report Posted February 28 I skied with my brah today, it was rad. I even saw @AtomicSkier getting after it and I yelled "milk it" from the Main Street Express lift. That was sick. Atomic must have been super stoked to have a cheering section from the ski slope lift 3 1
