Interesting - maybe only on part of the mountain - I felt only a few drops and skied right through that period

Or maybe I am just Joe Btfsplk

Coverage is absurd, Stevenson was running and I went there first but everything has good coverage. I didn't dick with birches so who knows there but the Stevenson side is stupid stupid deep. Cliff hanger no joke might make

On the Black Bear lift until a little after noontime. Nice coverage, smooth slopes. Asp and Hump particularly nice. A little scary skiing the edges of the trails at spots because of the drop off to bare ground level. Several Blue refugees there, brief sighting of Oz.

Rode with mad Blue peeps this morning. Super super nice day, nobody was out besides Oz, jersey Mike,  etc etc

Snow was winter like with soft on top and everyone agreed it was a most superb morning.

I did second shift afternoon to close.  Incredible spring snow and coverage.  Greatful to have it till May 5! 😇

Nice day today. Upper section of the black runs a lot softer than Tuesday. Cliffhanger was open but ungroomed with whales, so I passed. Not crowded, never shared a lift chair.

Camelback keeping all their trails ungroomed today to preserve snow pack - should be fun - wish I didn’t have to work

Hopefully it will all get groomed after the freeze up tonight

Will be there for the thaw on Sunday

Only game south of Hunter/Belleayre after that

Sunday forecast for Camelback Mtn (thanks Snowology) - if this holds there will definitely be a thaw in time for a great Sunday afternoon session.

Also wonderful to hear they plan to make more snow tonight and tomorrow night - wonder if they will try to keep more of the West side alive for this weekend or focus on the Sullivan side

I was pretty much at blue when they decided to open at 12, part of bfgs crew was wondering around so they didn't get the message in time either.

Oh well CB it is, shit was not good though,  like for sure the worst I skied all year and maybe in a few.

I figured it would be firm as it was a cold 40 but they didn't groom and between that and the rain refreeze it was like flanders Belgium cobblestone.

The black next to cliffhanger was near unskiable at points and my God the noise it made. Like loose change in the dryer as the ski pinged off a million rando terrain variations.

Pocono raceway maybe had a groomer down it and that was terrible but fine.....the others though set your skis to Hitachi magic wand mode and well maybe the ladies loved it but after and hour and quarter I could take no more.

Sunday afternoon thaw should be as good

Not grooming last night was a  wry good move IMO to preserve the most snow coverage for when it will be good

As is their plan to make snow the next two nights

Nothing besides Stevenson is making it past this weekend IMHO, most of the bear stuff closed this morning.

The window I'd think is too narrow to put some of those back together.

Is the coverage on Nile Mile and cliffhanger pretty boner doner?  The forecast is pretty dysfunctional. Yesterday when I was outside in the shadow of where NMSki works, I went from being super chilly to warm in 20-30 minutes mostly standing outside

They may have closed some of the Bear stuff today to help it survive I would not be shocked if some reopens tomorrow.

Also would not be shocked to see some of Bear side open Mon mid week but unlikely to make it through Tues/Wed heat wave

You had me at shocked. How’s the police vehicle doing? I think a ford crown Victoria?

Nice solid cord today. Didn’t realize the opened at 9, so I chilled  (literally) in the lot, and they started letting us up at 8:50. Blowing snow on Cliffhanger. Everything west of the Bear lift is closed, and a yellow coater said they will eventually shut that lift down and only run the Sullivan lift. Still looks good for weekdays next week.

Down to just the Sullivan lift for rest of season - still provides a nice diversity of terrain with a steep ungroomed run (PA’s Superstar), a mile long blue cruiser, a groomed black and terrain parks. See what of that they can keep going 5 more weeks.

Still 11 distinctly unique runs. AMAZING.

Damnit I don't know.. I just know Camelback is now the best place to park my police cruiser in the east.

Pocono Raceway was nice today, just a little hard to get to. Didn’t see many people on Cliffhanger.

CBK closed tomorrow due to weather

Will likely come back with fewer distinct runs (I currently count 7)

Assholes it’s gonna be warm tomorrow you think enough snow melts for any of the water slides to open for Easter?

Probably a handful of them, if we’re lucky maybe 3-4 top to bottom
