Hope Cliffhanger etc are a blast for all who are there this weekend. I will be at Hunter for their closing weekend.

Top of Pharaoh was a little sketchy yesterday with a 3 or 4 foot wide chute of dirty snow, otherwise it had good coverage once you paid that price of admission. You could still shoot over left past the lift top with a little bit of skating to raceway which had multiple paths down it dodging the dirt. The western trail at the top of Pharaoh was closed. Don’t know if they can move snow over to it. There was a fairly large pile opposite the top of the quad. The Caesar western trail at the top of Pharaoh was closed.

Nile Mile had good but not crazy coverage. Cliffhanger was closed at opening because they felt it was too frozen, and they planned to open it later. Noticed that Oz hit it when it was open, saw a couple of other Blue refugees.

Skied for about an hour. D lot was about half full. Sunbowl appeared to have good coverage, but only had the conveyor going. Restrooms there were nice.

I noticed that Killington has superstar closed because of a 8 to 10 foot crevice in what they call the superstar glacier. Hope that doesn’t happen to cliffhanger.

Just looked at the video on YouTube. First time I’ve heard of that song but I just know margaritaville and cheeseburger in paradise.  Jimmy Buffett is ok but I like buffets better

And we’re down to just Cliffhanger and Nile Mile for the rest of the skison 

Also a carpet served park on Sunbowl for however long they can keep that going

as of Monday that will be the only weekday skiing south of Mt Snow

Conditions report shows the groomer icon - We're planning on heading up for a few hours tomorrow morning, temps are bit colder tonight, and with cloud cover frozen surface will hopefully be less grabby.

  Not groomed, despite the icon. People more energetic than I  (JLaw and Atomic) said it was pretty nice. Pharaoh is back, but the crossover to Raceway is gone. Nile Mile was nice. D lot almost full when I left.

Rode with Atomic, foggy and warm with a light to medium pick up on the goggles.

When we arrived only Nile and Pharaoh where open, the skiing gods having heard Atomics tales of double cloud 9 shined their light favorably upon us and as we were skiing by he noticed the patrolers dropping the rope on Cliffhanger.

After a longish pre briefing we were off and sliding down a surface similar to the moon.  Parts were better,  parts were worse but as I'm lmao I can hear atomic doing the same all the way to the lift.  Chefs kiss 💋

Nile and Pharaoh were groomed super soft and quite good. Both make the weekend but Pharaoh probably not after that.

Hunter was meh this afternoon and certainly not worth driving further than CBK to ski it this weekend - there were nice parts of runs and soft bumps but also spots where you were slush skimming and searching for snow at some point on every way down.

Will likely try closing day at Cat tomorrow - no need to return to Hunter after more melt

Nice morning at CB. Starting off was teeth chattering, eyeball bouncing frozen cord on Nile (still has full coverage) but it softened up with each run. By 11 there was a nice layer of loose stuff over pretty much everything.  Cliff was closed until it softened up a little around 11. Pharaoh was mostly ungroomed, frozen and narrow in spots, and had a bunch of serious skid marks. It had a closed sign, but not roped off, and people started running it about 10:30. Kids and intermediate skiers started arriving around 10, but it never got too crowded, never more than 2 chairs worth in line.  Nile was wide enough to avoid and pass  people safely.  A little bit of slush at the chair as I left. Lot D was ab 2/3 full.Oz was there at opening. 10 fast runs on Nile kept me happy. Hoping they blow snow this week; hoses are still attached to the guns.

i didnt think this trail was gonna make it.  it must get pretty interesting around where the lift goes over it the first time, right before it does the merge with Cliffhanger (?)

They announced snowmaking tonight, possibly tomorrow as well - Thursday could be good.... That darn cold going around the office, feeling a bit tepid......
