Thanks, so where the red pin is here (top leftish)?

Seems like a hike back to, I'm guessing, the Stevenson lift.

Here’s a question, if I decide I wanna ski tomorrow at camelback..do I have to go to the customer service office by the main lodge or are tickets available at the bottom of the cliffhanger chair and being called Sullivan and Stevenson are dumb. Names way too similar and not an Egyptian theme.

You go to the Adventure Basecamp to get your ticket

is anyone going to CBK tomorrow? i'm considering but i have some questions --

-where tf do i park
-how early does the ticket office open? i'd imagine i would have to go there first to get a pass using my blue pass. if it opens around the same time as the lifts, i don't want to be in a huge line because i anticipate it being... crowded.

I'll be there in the morning,  JFDan i think was maybe coming too and Atomic will be there Sunday i believe.

Soft snow, right side was left bumped up from yesterday, left side groomed but quickly got chopped up. Had to stop a few times at the edge of the bumps to let the faster skiers pass. Small hike up terrain park at the bottom. A lot of regulars were one and done. I was a two and too-de-loo. Lots were full and people pouring in when I left at 9:30. Nice time, although a little bit of a shooting gallery.

Cliff was kinda Russian skier’s roulette today with a a wide range of abilities converging on a steep bumpy overcrowded run

That's the fun part lol

Rode with JFskiDan and benm shit was rocking from the start and real ski it if you can type snow.  Mad people out and about, like the tuxs of PA.

Super fun and who do we see in the lot who was out skiing but mbike and nico. Mad props that isn't the easiest first day back.

I drove up from Delaware this morning for an afternoon session and then a morning session tomorrow after the rain.  Fantastic day.  On the lift about to finish my day as we speak.

FYI, it isn’t on the website yet, but I ran into the patrol director at the top of the lift and they aren’t opening tomorrow.  With some colder weather this week and nice weather next weekend, they want to avoid the groom, potentially make snow, and reopen Friday if possible.  They will need to farm some snow, but I think it’s doable.

The Pocono Pile was a work out today for sure.  fast laps, and a fast lift ride back up.  Good to see those from the Blue crew today.  cant believe we are still skiing in PA.

Today was all about novelty. I really don't like bumps but i couldn't pass up skiing in 65+ degrees. Shit I'd ski in worse if the opportunity presented itself. I was hoping the groomed part would have held together enough for two runs, but it was jacked up by our first.

I feel like we got at least 7 rapid fire runs, so quick that i was tired just getting off the lift. No pit lane on a 20ft wide run to take a break.

Nice day with some pasr-ers. End of my season for sure unless i win the lottery and head to Chile.

Speaking of the lottery, somehow, on our last run, my heel piece came off as i was getting out of my skis. That's some lucky shit so i bought lotto tickets.

Good day good season good night

Hiked to a couple waterfalls I’d never checked out on my way home

Where was that?

Following the link to the falls I see it also mentions nearby Columcille Megalith Park. That is a very nice donation based set of hiking trails near the top of Blue Ridge.

Will have to check this place out, never heard of it before?!

Yeah it was all new to me too - wild that there were no signs or trail markings or anything, just followed directions from that web site to find it. Remarkably cool falls for being so under the radar. Did not see another person there

The lower falls were down a very steep trail that had a rope to use as one ascended and descended and I decided the risk outweighed the reward particularly as seen from a distance they seemed less spectacular than the upper or middle falls I took pix of

That one I’ve  heard is pretty cool and on the hiking “to do” list
