3/29…closing day?

Hey All,

 

I’m back from another morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot before 720am and it was in the upper 20s with a rising sun.  In the house were NMSki, JFDan, PARidge, MBIke Mike, Mrs Snowbunski, Kim K, Dirtwolf, C1er, BenM, Hoodie, Johnny Law, Mixilplix, Mute, Ryan, Justo, Jimmy Shopey180, Spider, Enjorales, Pops and many others. 
 

Second civilian OG six pack and I started on Sidewinder which was decent machine groomed frozen granuler some narrow spots as expected.  Paradise was a carpet and very good coverage mostly. Razors was consistent small cookies and lazy mile was decent a little loose. 
 

Both the OG six pack and super summit safari six were running. Widowmaker to midway to lower main was stiff and Burma was ok although slick in the corners..I even skied vista to checkout the pond skimming set up and the water looked cooler than cool…ice cold. 
 

I then ended with a couple paradise runs and another switchback, it never got to spring on conditions while I was skiing but I’m sure by now there’s some mashed potatoes.  Fun parking lot but it never got that warm which was the theme of most of this ski season. 
 

All in all we had good to excellent ski conditions  the majority of the season…pow days were sparse but it sure was a cold one with lots of packed powders.  Of course Blue is hinting at a possible reopening but I don’t think it will happen.

One of my most conflicted days on the calendar, the end of blue but we always make it fun. 

The snow was way better than I thought and decent turns could be found still on closing day as long as there is snow the rest is irrelevant.

Fucking A blue was good shit this year and we played the game like champions

Waaaaayyyyy better today than I think anyone thought. And much better than yesterday. Softish in spots, nice in the sun. If this is it for Blue it was an awesome season and I'm grateful to share each season great skiers and overall great people...xoxox. Love you guys. See some of you next week at CB maybe.

I think we all have two sides… @saltyant I bet you’re much different in the middle of a work day vs after a ski day with your brahs maybe having a Smirnoff ice or a frosty yoo hoo.

  We had a great season and it's always super fun hangin out. Sliding on snow is such good therapy, the parking lot even better..

Looks great for closing day.  Was hoping to make it yesterday but I've had a terrible sinus infection since Friday.   I'll have to visit camelsack at some point in April to get another day in

I had the same thing last week. It was rough. Something is going around...

According to the website, Sunday was their last day for the season.
