  1. i live in a more diverse area than pretty much anyone on this site lol. plus i have a smaller carbon footprint than probably anyone else as well :rock

two thumbs up! (but I think Grilled was just kidding!)

  2. Place looks nice but for the price I will travel the extra half hour and go to a better water park such as Camelbeach. Place has potential but for now not much to offer at premium prices. They have racer slides, lazy river, wave pool, tornado and old crappy slide. Not sure if the bumper boats are included or cost extra. However don't really want to take the ride to the bottom of North Face to go on bumper boats.

Well let's see....spend an extra 30-40 minutes on the road (each way) to get to Camelbeach, along with the cost of the gas, in order to stand in 30 mintute lines? Or should I travel 15 minutes, stand in no lines, and be exausted by the end of the day from taking in so many rides...even if there is less variety to pick from??

If standing in long crowded lines, listening to foriegn languages and sweating your ass off while waiting to get in a handful of runs is your thing...I suggest Camelbeach.

Was up at Sno Cove yesterday....no lines and it was in the 90's. The water was perfectly clear and clean. The entire area was spotless.

The bumper boats are included in the price but didn't take them in because I was too busy on the other rides. Zip rider is down due to a broken part...but mostly because of a pending lawsuit in California over another "zip rider" (but you didn't hear that here).

I hope this post was helpful...

  3. wrong!

...I didn't say the "ski season" was over the first day it hit 50*

    re-read my post!

I was writing in the Sno Mountain forum...talking about Sno Mountain!

    IMHO...next weekend will be it!

Only time will tell if I'm a "gaper"

    love...the fleaguy

  4. according to what I hear...this may be the last weekend for skiing at Sno Mtn. 50* temps and 3-4 days of rainy weather may force the powers that be, to close for the season. A final decision hasn't been made yet...but e-mails are saying a decision will be made by the end of the weekend after observing the deterioration of the snow conditions with the warm rain on the way. Bare spots were beginning to emerge this past weekend, and 50* temps will only make matters worse.

  5. Naw...it's not that bad! But I DO work Sat's/Sun's

I will be at Boulder two more Thus. nights for the races. Two more Thurs night races at Sno...Then five days at Killington!

YEA...I guess I'm jumping the gun by saying "Have a nice summer" !

But ya got to admit....the end is in sight :crymore:

  6. KC

I feel your pain. I'm going back to work for the season also. AND the 45-50* weather this weekend will surely put the brakes on a fantastic ski year!

Good luck to Sno's water park. I hope they do well.

    Have a good summer everyone!

  7. Sunday...fantastic conditions! Hero snow and tons of it. By late in the day, the snow in spots was like mashed potatoes. But still tons of fun. Still some poachable somewhat untracked powder to be found on the sides of the trails!

Large crowd...had to wait sometimes two or three chairs! (I know...I'm spoiled!)LOL

Bar was crowded at 5PM...but the beer was cold!

Yesterday (Saturday) the crowds were even larger...should be a VERY profitable season for the mountain!!!

And knowing the way the mountain operates....it should mean even more improvements for next year.....

  8. Bright blue, warm sky. Conditions were great.

My only complaint....I had to wait for 1 chair...sheesh!

Seriously, I just don't understand why Sno Mountain isn't busier than it is!!!

If anyone can explain this to me.....let me know!

The terrain park looked great with plenty of awesome riders.

More talented riders (IMHO ) than I've seen in quite some time. Good going boarders!

Snow in the forcast for tonight and tomorrow!

Do winters get any better than this year?

Now get out there and hit the slopes!

  9. lol. i see what you did there.

it does suck though that most of the land from blue over to the lehigh gap is a superfund site, wonder if theres any lines to hit since all the trees are dead. anyways, sno needs to advertise, end of story. you cant be profitable without somewhat of a crowd. i tell people from my area that im thinking of hitting snow up this season, and they say they never heard of it.

I work in the Poconos and it's amazing how many people haven't heard of Sno Mountain!!!!

Do you hear me Snow Mountain????

I counted 18...yes 18, buses from the same bus company pulling off of route 209 into Shawnee Mountain! Shawnee Mountain....who skis there anyway?

If Sno Mountain reps read this forum...do you hear me Dennis Carlson....I.M. me and we''ll talk about boosting your skier visits!

  10. I was there...and it was brutal up top. Not many people ventured to the top of the mountain. Many hid from the wind on Northface. However...the snow conditions were great and by the end of the night, all the snow guns were blasting away. Should make for a great weekend.
