    Wow, I heard my ears ringing. Yeah, I bit the bullet and moved west to take my ski bum status to the pro level. I AM living in NW Reno, much cheaper than the CA side and the commute isn't that bad to the shop in Truckee or the areas. I Start Haus is my new shop of employment. I have posted some killer Nordica and leftover deals elsewhere, if you want I can post them here too. You know they are good if Jeff bites. B)

    Nice report....so it was even better than the blizzard day at blue? How long was the drive and did

    Finndog come?

     

     

    They got close to 30" the first storm when Blue only got 10 or so. It is just 3 hours from Exton. Great glades and an awesome bump run in Extrovert.

    I have been following the Epic thread..I may have to book my trip next year at the same time as you guys...you'd be surprised but I know a few sweet overlooked spots that even a barking bear would enjoy. Did you stay in the 49er? This was my first trip to Jackson hole where I only ate Bubbas BBQ once.. :drool

     

    Glad you got dumped on..fo real..looks deep in the village..one dude on Teton Gravity posted about doing a lap in Teton Pass yesterday morning..then doing a Bell to Bell 9AM-4PM day at Jackson Hole..followed by apres-ski beers...and I thought I had a good day yesterday at Blue.. :blink:

     

    Last year was great for us too. We hit some killer shots off of Thunder, Saratoga Bowl and Hobacks. I am sure there are many nooks and crannies we can show each other, the place is awesome. Hit Bubba and DOG twice and both ties were great.

    i'm kinda surprised you havent jumped into a pair of full tilts with all the flexon love you've got going on.

     

    Granted I was in the same Flexon for 20 years (replaced the shells 4 times and the liners 3 times, but the same Flexons ;)), but the Krypton is a Flexon on steroids, IMHO it is a better boot, laterally it is stiffer. It is almost worth going to the Krypton so you don't have to deal with that antiquated bail system.

     

    The snowboard company? This should be a good story.

     

    Yeah the same, they make a damn sweet ski.

  25. Father's Day at Blue

    i didn't die or brake anything. i'll count it as a success. lets hope they open for non-racing soon, it was super fun.

    Thats always a good way to end a day of mountain biking (and skiing). If they open weekends, I think they will pull quite a few people from Mountain Creek and I know I will be back..with Finndog in tow.
