  1. We are investigating a lot of options, one being a summer terrain park using snowflex. The downside is you can not groom on top of snowflex so it would have to be a slope that is not covered in snow in the winter. We should have an idea of the options we are pursuing in the next 4 to 6 weeks.

  2. me

    green hat?

dirt mcgirt, i think i might have seen you...blue jacket, tan pants...burton custom?...if so i was right near u in the lift line

haha how did i get dragged into this? nah sadly i couldnt make it up today. ill be up saturday at 4, with no burton gear to speak of lol. either a rome artifact or neversummer, and black and white figments. my jacket is kinda bluish i guess so somewhat close lol.

  3. it seems like every time i turn on the news they are interviewing mary about the weather in the area in relation to skiing. at least this time it was good news instead of showing grass.

hopefully i can ride this saturday.

  4. so it arrived today, and the instructions are very vague. they say to start it up, to open the air receivers drain valve or outlet valve. where exactly is that? is that the valve on the bottom of the bottom tank, or the valve coming from the side of the top tank? or is it somewhere else?

  5. i wasnt. i didnt feel like fighting holiday crowds. did that at killy already this season and im not up for it again. if you ever see anyone with a never summer board or rome artifact with those dc boots that are white and camo(flares i think) says whats up. ill probobly be wearing that giro bad luetenant helmet and black and white figs. when they do reopen(again) every weeknight and saturday.

  6. im gonna have to agree with you on this one. I personally wouldnt mind a sat. opening. not only b/c i cant go friday but they extra day of blowing on thursday night and friday to groom and prepare for a saturday morning opening. the less days the snow is ridden on the better it will hold up for mlk weekend.

oh and live2snowboard, there is a reason BC has to close before and cant blow as early as the pocono resorts. before you start complaining next time take into consideration that BC is the southernmost "pocono" resort and often has to wait for their water supply to cool down

exactly. honestly i would not be that mad if they didnt open this weekend. its going to get real warm, and they need to consolidate as much snow as possible if all of you guys want an april closing. we all know that they will open within the next week without much doubt, there is plenty of time to pay off that season pass everyone bought once they do. and bears prices are very reasonable on their passes, and their offpeak policies are really good as well, where as most resorts dont allow you to ride on weekends and holidays with themm, bear lets you ride at night which is frickin butter.

i cant wait to get out and play in that snow, and ill probobly buy a pass to bear next year if im still in the area. of the times ive been to bear, ive never seen anything that made me say wtf? like i do at other mountains. the management knows what they are doing, and they more then deserve the little money the ask for us to pay for their passes.

edit:just looked at the cams, and timberline looks to have a good deal of snow. maybe there will be many trails open when they do?

  7. i think they should wait until the weekend. they can blow again tomorrow night, that way theyll have more snow. next week is going to be cold. one day less wont play much into the grand scheme of things. and live2snowboard, im not holding my anger against bear, and you shouldnt either. they cant controll the weather, only kim jong il can.

  8. how long did your eaton take to ship? and yeah there is alot of impressive shit at snowguns.com. im in the process of making a tower gun like this:http://backyardblizzard.com/snowwand.htm . hopefully i can figure out a real efficient way to make snow in marginal conditions.

  9. fairly confident that winter is finally on its way, i ordered a new air compressor for my snowguns today. i got the eaton contractor model. anyone on here have any experience with eatons? i found alot of good reviews on snowmaking websites so i went for it. hopefully it works better then my old porter cable did.
