  1. Who is planning to buy a new condo if they will build it?

    Here are some more questions:

When will they start making the 6 person lift?

When will they cut the new trail?

Has anyone drove past Blue to see how much snow/if they started buliding new lift, lodge, and trail?

I want answers, and I want them NOW! :rock:rolleyes::ph34r::rofl

I requested information on the condos but haven't received anything yet. Yeah, I would love to invest in one but I will have to do a lot more research before I even consider it. I don't want to look back in 10 or so years and say, "Damn, I wish I got in on one of those...." It may be a great investment! Does anyone know or have heard any rumors on what the going prices might start at?

  2. OK now that everyone has weighed in I'll let you in on a little secret...when Blue finally gets park passes idiots are gonna fork over the $5.00 for passes and get in your way just like they do now. Know why? Cause there is no way Blue will restrict passes to skilled skiers/ riders. All a newbie needs to do is beg his lodge Mom for $5.00 and he's in the "big boys" park and under you so to speak. Do you think that the money issue will really stop kids and families. I can hear it now... "Hey Dad the park looks really cool from up here on the 6 pack, after we power wedge down Challenge lets get passes and check it out.". Lots of people visit Blue and drop tons of cash on lift tickets, food, rentals, what is another $5.00. FYI, I will totally have a park pass and I rarely use the features in the park. I only go in the park to spot Bob and watch other people.

i totally agree.... if parents are spending so much on rentals/equipment/gear and lift tickets for their kids, then what's another 5 bucks.... it needs to be a little more strict then that.

  3. well ive been riding the dominant for 3 years now.. and well i love it to death.. i ride mostly park and pipe.. just the trick for me

I chose the Prospect because that's the only one i've ridden out of the group and i loved it! I currently ride a 158 Salomon Forescast and like that too- not as much flex as i would like though. I'm dying to get a Dominant or Shaun White's board (i see he's got some bigger sizes for '07). what's the flex like on the dominant?

  4. They don't even have people at the lifts checking passes, why would they put someone at the top of the park. Can you imagine how mad you would get if you had to wait in line just to get into the terrain park?

    :yes yeah, that would suck...

the $5 charge would have to be purchased at the beginning of the season or on top of the lift ticket? because if you could purchase it on top of a lift ticket then i don't think that's gonna stop the noobs on the weekends.... they would probably get it still.

  5. from what i hear from the people i know that work there, chich is pretty much everybody, there is a 50/50 chance.

did you hear more on how that would work if it went thru? would the park pass be an additonal charge on top of the season pass or could you just buy it indivisually allowing you to only stay in the park and vice versa? i guess they would have to start checking tickets in line a lot more then.... i hope they go through w/ that because it would allow people who ride in the park feel more comfortable knowing that everyone in there is at least somewhat serious on what they are doing and trying to progress and not having to worry about a father teaching his kid how to ski along the sides... :yes

  6. With all the snow they should easily be able to make it into April. Maybe even the 2nd or 3rd week.

The end of boarding season means the beginning of detailing season. Bring on the rides!

dude there is absolutely no way Blue would stay open until the 3rd week of April, especially w/ these temps coming up. that would be incredible if they did, but they closed last year mid/end March w/ a 60in base and i remember they got a foot of snow that closing weekend too. "Revenue is down" was their reason when i emailed them asking why. time to pack it up and head as far north or west as you can to get a cpl more rides in this awesome season....

  7. Right now boulders closing date is 3/19. Why? I have no friggen clue. Boulder has the most snow of any mountain in the area. Hell the big boulder jump park has a mininum of 2ft base and in one spot is near 7ft.

That sucks!!!! i was just their this weekend and the mountain was in great shape. everyone is walking around here at work talking about how great it's going to be w/ the temps this weekend.... i just keep exploding their heads in my mind...

  8. Has anyone heard any rumors of a closing date? I'm trying to get in as much time as possible. the weather on Friday and going forward is not looking too good... I hope they blow a ton tonight and tomorrow night. i don't mind it when its warm becasue that's when we get the fun hero snow, but the showers on top of the warm weather sucks. i'll be up tonight after work.

  9. I don't see JF being too crowded on a Friday, since most "kids" are still in school, during their hours of operation.

cool, i hope... i'll try JF first then i guess. did you guys get snow recently? i mean you can only get so much by looking at a mtn's website.

  10. I'm heading up early Friday morning cause i have a house for the weekend. i usually never ride at JFBB but i just found out that 93.3 WMMR is having that event at both mountains. Has anyone gone to this in the past? Is this just one big giant noob circus? I just wanna ride and was kind of happy i was getting on the mountain early on a week day, but now i'm hesitant of even going.... should i just bag it and ride early Saturday instead?

  11. Screw that if Razors is ever closed, just for being icy, I'm poaching it and if I'm chased, getting in my car and leaving. I can run mad fast in my ski boots, alot faster than security. Next time Razors or any run seems icy, hug the far left or right side of the run for more edgeable snow. A favorite thing of mine lately is skiing the right side of challenge. On the top section where there are the big blue buckets, try to hockey stop snow onto them. If you're successful you'll hear a mad steezy sound. Kind of like darts I guess but with a sound... :banghead...Save the worst day of my life title for when things are really bad, like if they run out of croissants at Dunkin Donute.... :banghead doh

haha.. i hear that. i was just so fired up that i went up there so late....i should have totally expected it. i'm better now. ok, wasn't the worst day of my life.....

  12. You're too picky, this is PA...be happy that the temps are cold enough to preserve the snow. Was Blue mountain crowded today? What runs did they blow snow on overnight?

I know, i know... its my fault for going late. i just had to vent. it actually wasn't crowded at all. i waited like 3 minutes in the singles line of the quad. not sure where they blew snow at. i did a run down Razors which in my opinion should have been closed and then Lazy Mile into the lower park. That was it. I love Blue, i was just fired up... i knew i was gonna get slammed for this one.... :D

  13. I pulled into the parking lot at 4 and pulled out at 4:35...

did two runs and and saw my reflection the entire time when i looked down...

  14. if anyone has seen the DC Mt. Lab dvd.. they have a pink and black missle that they jib.. i think that is so cool and seeing something like that and like what asored2006 said.. like a set of picnic tables would be sick

i just got that DVD, it's awesome! someone's gotta have a missle laying around we could use...

  15. how about a giant loop-de-loop rail that at the end launches you through a flamming ring thats flames are basically that of a heavy duty torch. and you can make the ring outta that stuff they put on the outside of space ships for when they re-enter our atmosphere so its very heat resistant. thats not too circus raily is it??

i said this before.. how about a cpl picnic table set ups or something different other then rails or boxes. something more for jibbing like a big propane barrell (mt snow has one)... the park is defenitly the best in my opinion in PA but...i don't know, something out of the norm would be cool.

  16. when someone gets back today let me know how the conditions were.... i don't know if it rained up there last night.

I'll be there around 6:15. if you happen to come over to the other side look for me. I'll be wearing a brown checkered Burton Coat, w/ white Oakley A Frames

Nope... I meant a green coat
