  1. just wanted to let everyone over here know about the One Hit Wonder contest this sunday the 20th...the contest is open to snowboarders ages 13-18, but there's fireworks afterwards and one hell of a huge party starting at 10, complete with latex-painted dancers and a performance by Mini Kiss - that's right, a Kiss cover band made up entirely of little people... head to mountaincreek.com/events or myspace.com/mcjiblab for more info....but seriously, don't miss it - you'll be bummed when you see the pictures and you weren't there...

  3. yes this is mini mac... haha
  4. FYI: We will be constructing a pipe at south this season..
  5. http://www.snowvision.com/video/show/513/M...uth-Opening-Day hope everyone enjoyed!
  6. 18 Features for opening day!!! Come on out to Jersey now!! Super fun today! This is the start of an amazing season
  7. Snowmaking has continued, and the guns were on all weekend long. That, coupled with the little bit of natural that fell on sunday is going to make for a super-fun opening day this saturday!!! We anticipate opening both Vernon and South this Saturday December 8th at 8am for ALL Access Season Pass holders and 9am for everyone else. Starting Monday the 10th thru the 14th, we will be open at both Vernon and South from 12pm-9pm. More detailed information on lifts, trails, and features will be posted on Mountaincreek.com on Thursday, as well as right here on the 'space. oh and another little goodie that creek rolled out is this: text "creek" to 22122 and receive exclusive deals, offers, and content that's only available through this service. standard text messaging fees apply. Please note that South is currently tentative.. If South does open, it will be one top to bottom park run with at least 10 features for everyone to have fun on!
  8. Thanks man, We are indeed stoked... Can't wait till we're all having a blast on the white stuff! -Marc
  9. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/07/17/sports/o...orts/17ski.html Article is a little skewed.. but It gets most of the facts across... It's very annoying that the media seems to think that terrain parks are just for snowboarders. Anyway... discuss 60 acres of park All Mountain 2 High speed quads 15 new jibs Youth oriented lodge Park Education Program
  10. Just use your ski poles and get some clicker bindings! You can stay strapped in the whole time! Bump for anyone actually interested in the board!
  11. This board was only ridden for approximately 6 runs, still in like new condition! Not avaiable in stores yet, and this will be Burton's premiere park shredding board! I am asking $300 or best offer (far less than you will pay in stores) I will let the pictures do that talking now! -Marc
  12. I've used up my annual internet arguing allotment... I'll be happy to join in on something in 2008! See ya there!
  13. mcg - I don't know who you are, but it is quite obvious you know what you're talking about. Coming from an on mountain employee perspective, I can assure you that mcg seems to have his ducks in a row... Method you have made some good points, but I see some of your observations and comments to be quite juvenille. For a mountain that offers more skiable acres and more terrain parks than anyone else in the Pocono area I do believe you are cutting us a little short. As for Zero G, and the Eagles; last season these advanced runs were left ungroomed as 'bump runs'... Although you may not have enjoyed these trails, the positive feedback from many of Mountain Creek's guests was enough to allow the mountain to keep these moguls all season. I will keep all my other comments to myself as not to raise hell with anyone Don't question the answers -JL
  14. Hey guys, just thought I'd chime in for a quick elaboration on the park status and some of the issues brought up in this thread... FYI, the whole JibLab crew and park staff are all riders, If the world were perfect we would have terrain park features from the top of south all the way to the base area. No one here is lazy, in fact we are all very ambitious, anxious, and antsy for winter to really kick in. The reason why we do not have more than 2 features set up is plain and simple... There is absolutely not enough snow! Keep in mind, we are a resort and have to abide by the codes to ensure that our park is safe at all times. We have more features just waiting at the base of south and on the side of exhibition just waiting to get put back in to the snow! However, when your dealing with a base of 3" at best... there isn't even enough snow to push a new takeoff, let alone trying to bury the feet of the feature... Listen guys, we wish we could do more... we really do... We are going through just as much pain and aggravation as you are. As soon as we get the weather we need, I can guarantee we will not let you down. Let's all be patient and hope mother nature lends a hand... -Marc
