  1. Our central shop is in Pottstown at our corporate offices. No retail store there. Turn around time is the same regardless where you drop them off. If you are in a big rush just let the store know and they will work with you to meet your needs best we can. -John
  2. Our repair work is excellent. We can turn equipment quickly if needed. Just ask. Our central workshop is staffed by 10 techs who do nothing but work on skis and snowboards. They aren't salesmen, they are just highly trained techs. I've seen them fix stuff that didn't look worth fixing. Core shots, missing edges, delamination, you name it. Look, if you want to have it done while you wait, that's typically not happening at our shops. With 5 locations we would have to have $3-4mil tied up in tuning/repair equipment and about 25-30techs. We have a truck that visits each store every day and our store managers will also hand deliver rush jobs to our central workshop if needed. You will be pleased.

  12. As the holidays approach and we all give Thanks for all we have remember there are others out there who don't even have a warm coat for the winter. To that end Buckman's Ski & Snowboard Shops is collecting "gently worn" winter coats to distribute to local charities. The coats need to be wearable with working zippers and no major rips or tears. As skiers and snowboarders I'm sure many of you have at least one closet full of old jackets. So here's the deal: Between now and December 15th donate an old jacket at any Buckman's location. As a thank you, for every coat you donate we will give you 1 (one) coupon worth 20% off 1 (one) '09-'10 Spyder Jacket. Coupons are good through close of business on December 15th. Oh, did I mention that our Christmas Shopping Spree sale is December 2nd-5th and all apparel will be on sale including Spyder? And the coupon is good for 20% off the sale price? Anyway, help spread the warmth even if you don't need a new jacket by donating you old jacket! Have a great Thanksgiving everyone! -John
  13. Yep, the window of snow making temps doesn't look like it's going to open like originally forecast. Sorry but with all the other "trucked in ice" jams going on we didn't want to do that so this was planned as a snow only event. Event CANCELLED! Our big event for the year will happen on February 20th 2010 and it will be our Boulder Bash '10 Slope Style. Huge prizes like every year. Details to follow. See you on the slopes!
  14. get a lot of women to sign up and we will offer a women's prize. our idea here was to keep this event as simple as possible and mostly to give everyone the opportunity to ride rails early. with the competitors deciding who wins we also don't want there to be too many divisions especially since we are doing this as an open jam. everyone will take as many runs as they want during the alloted time. there won't be time alloted for skiers and then time alloted for boarders and then time alloted for women. your goal as competitors is to impress the other competitors. plain and simple. we're curious as to how it's going to play out as well. see you on the 21st! ps - As of right now Boulder will either be open to the public or just open for our event. Oh, and this will be a good warm up for any of you looking to participate in the Temple University rail jam on Dec 3rd! We are helping sponsor that event as well. Boulder is providing the snow.
  15. We'll do a boarders division and a skiers division. Other than that everyone is lumped together. Boulder has no input as to who wins. It will be up to the majority vote of the competitors. Each competitor will get a "ballot" to turn in. Our hope is that everyone will respect the process and vote for who throws down the best that specific day and not just their friend. I guess we'll see what happens!
