  1. im decent at riding switch. i still gotta work on it though. i can 50-50 rails. but thats about it so far.

Keep at it, and most importantly just have some fun. Also, find some people to ride with that have similar goals. Having a crew to push and help you learn will keep it fun, and let you progress quickly. And besides, your going to need someone to show off your newly learned extra steezy boned out methods.

  2. Starting my second year of boarding this year. What are some easy grabs and other tricks to start with?

Can you ride switch proficiently? I'm going to assume no, so that's what you need to work on. After that, maybe some nose and tail butters, 50-50 grinds both regular and switch, some 180's on flatland regular and switch. If you want to start hitting some jumps, start off small, and really work on getting a grab and not just flying through the air, it will help you keep your composure in the air and pay off big later. And if your not already doing so, get a helmet.

  3. You've never been to Platty... Less vert, slower lifts, but some gnarly terrain... To the best of my knowledge, Hunter doesn't have an all natural on map trail called "The Cliffs" which actually has some 4' to 5' ledge drops and a 2' stream you have to jump to get off the trail lol

I was already interested in platt because of the positive feedback here. With that info, it is now firmly on the radar.

  4. Yeah, no Delorean... Just me being a dipshit... Instead of reading the actual post I guessed that it was on May 1st, May Day, since it landed on a weekend... Whoops...

I guess a Delorean is still acquirable, now a Flux Capacitor on the other hand...

  5. 4/2 Kirkwood. Wet, slow.

4/3 Northstar. Weekend madness, spring riding. Good eats at top.

4/4 Heavenly. Found discount ticket hookup/safety meeting enthusiast. Spring. Spent most of day in park.

    4/5 Sierra. Spring. Park/Noodle day.

4/6 Northstar. Spring. Softened up enough to get into trees which were previously a little crunchy.

4/7 Kirkwood. Pow. 9" overnight, puked all day.

4/8 Squaw. Leftover pow, in surprisingly good condition still according to our local guide. Thank you Giants home opener.

4/9 Alpine. Sierra cement. Hit outer outer twice. Went on a couple other small hikes.

    Jibbed it. Heavenly.

I got out of a pipe for once...barely. It was in the 18-22 foot range @ Sierra.

I'm ready for the gnar. I believe this is outer outer @ Alpine

  6. The lift ride at Cb is about two minutes, and at 7:30 on a Sunday morning, I'd expect to be able to ski right on the lift for at least an hour. It takes 30 seconds or less to get from the top of Cb back to the lift. Easy.

3D Youtube or I call bullshit

  7. Only Blue has the VIP line. CB has the 30 minute "first tracks" for pass holders, which arguably is at least 10-12 runs.

11 runs in 30 min comes to 2.7 mins a run. Have lifts been replaced with transporters?

But, at 7 minutes/run you could get 4ish in. A crafty individual could probably argue that they got 11 in. Call it a draw.
