Windows down, tunes up.
Oldest dude, shredding the park.
Fun night for a ride.

I was up last night and it was fairly empty but really scraped off with a lot of sugar piles. Still better than sitting at home though.
Generally I'd agree, but I wouldn't be on the hill til about 6. And flyers/penguins are on tonight, I'm torn.
-
Thoughts on what conditions might be like tonight? We might head up later. Anyone checked out the night scene yet?

no need to if you don't ski park.... lol boulder is an a cup, blue is a solid b cup... Vermont is a c cup, out west is the Titz!!
If the body is rocking, I'm perfectly happy with some A's. But it is nice to motor boat some whoppers from time to time.

Is the groupon (or whatever deal of the day site it was ) offer that crushes this deal going to come out again 2 days later? I bought the black friday deal last year, and then almost instantly the internet gods laughed at my wasting of money.

im decent at riding switch. i still gotta work on it though. i can 50-50 rails. but thats about it so far.
Keep at it, and most importantly just have some fun. Also, find some people to ride with that have similar goals. Having a crew to push and help you learn will keep it fun, and let you progress quickly. And besides, your going to need someone to show off your newly learned extra steezy boned out methods.

Starting my second year of boarding this year. What are some easy grabs and other tricks to start with?
Can you ride switch proficiently? I'm going to assume no, so that's what you need to work on. After that, maybe some nose and tail butters, 50-50 grinds both regular and switch, some 180's on flatland regular and switch. If you want to start hitting some jumps, start off small, and really work on getting a grab and not just flying through the air, it will help you keep your composure in the air and pay off big later. And if your not already doing so, get a helmet.

Yes, the code will be up this week.
nicely done

"This is not ideal for someone that wants to ski everyday but you'd have the weekends."
Weekends in vail pry still aren't too shabby

Keep killing it. Love the posts/pictures.

You've never been to Platty... Less vert, slower lifts, but some gnarly terrain... To the best of my knowledge, Hunter doesn't have an all natural on map trail called "The Cliffs" which actually has some 4' to 5' ledge drops and a 2' stream you have to jump to get off the trail lol
I was already interested in platt because of the positive feedback here. With that info, it is now firmly on the radar.

Sure afterparty at my place. I have 800 square feet and a balconey so could probably fit about 150 people. Maybe I'll make tacos for everybody.
I'm a sucker for tacos

Yeah, no Delorean... Just me being a dipshit... Instead of reading the actual post I guessed that it was on May 1st, May Day, since it landed on a weekend... Whoops...
I guess a Delorean is still acquirable, now a Flux Capacitor on the other hand...

I figured we would have had a short TR posted by now... Nobody went?
Did someone use a Delorean to go back to the future?
It's on May 7th.

BC management may have it's faults, but aren't they the only mt in the area offering up a group rate to PASRs? Buffoons!

Not the timeliest report ever, but I figured better late than never.

4/2 Kirkwood. Wet, slow.
4/3 Northstar. Weekend madness, spring riding. Good eats at top.
4/4 Heavenly. Found discount ticket hookup/safety meeting enthusiast. Spring. Spent most of day in park.
4/5 Sierra. Spring. Park/Noodle day.
4/6 Northstar. Spring. Softened up enough to get into trees which were previously a little crunchy.
4/7 Kirkwood. Pow. 9" overnight, puked all day.
4/8 Squaw. Leftover pow, in surprisingly good condition still according to our local guide. Thank you Giants home opener.
4/9 Alpine. Sierra cement. Hit outer outer twice. Went on a couple other small hikes.
Jibbed it. Heavenly.
Bench stall. Heavenly.
I got out of a pipe for once...barely. It was in the 18-22 foot range @ Sierra.
I'm ready for the gnar. I believe this is outer outer @ Alpine
Bonk
Zen master
Cool tree at scenic overlook
Buddy hitting a spine in a park at Heavenly, with biker dude on his tail.
Some cools trees on the backside of Northstar
Lost in pow
About to drop from a little hike off of the Granite Chief chair at Squaw.

You sir, are a dirty pirate hooker.

The lift ride at Cb is about two minutes, and at 7:30 on a Sunday morning, I'd expect to be able to ski right on the lift for at least an hour. It takes 30 seconds or less to get from the top of Cb back to the lift. Easy.
3D Youtube or I call bullshit
-
Only Blue has the VIP line. CB has the 30 minute "first tracks" for pass holders, which arguably is at least 10-12 runs.
11 runs in 30 min comes to 2.7 mins a run. Have lifts been replaced with transporters?
But, at 7 minutes/run you could get 4ish in. A crafty individual could probably argue that they got 11 in. Call it a draw.

No hearsay, opinion or emotions allowed.
Good luck with that.

I'm headed there this Sat! Never been, can't wait. Any nuggets of wisdom for a first timer?
