  1. i agree that bear should put some effort into the jump line in the tubing park. also lets see some tables in cascade, with all this snow they are blowing we should see some jumps. im tired of all these features.
  2. i was kind of disapointed with the new set up. liked the bleacher box set up. the up rail was kind of a waste although it was maintained well, the picnic to 420 was another waste. the set up was do-able but the two didn't line up straight, the picnic table wasnt level and kicked you off to the side, and there should have been more of a landing/more snow piled to it. if you had any speed you would land somewhat flat from that drop...sloppy. the table is a waste of time since its a 10 ft gap (lets see some jumps instead of putting time into rails that are more or less half assed) the down rail should have had an urban set up...and same with the stairs (can those stairs be moved to a better spot?) hubba wasn't maintained but was the first urban set up ive seen there in a while. drop box was fixed (good work) and last id like to see the flat down box in a better spot....like on a flatter park of cascade. yes, this list is exhausted but it needs to be done. im into the bear creek scene but the crew should get their stuff together. take a crew field trip up to boulder - and im not even a bb local - and take some notes. take a lot of notes. sorry to be so critical
  3. yes. yes it would. thats what bear was saying it was originally intended for (they called it a "step up box")...and is going to be sick for some more advanced riders to hit some tech tricks with a little more to lose... not to mention the fact that it will be a hell of a lot of fun to watch kids eat shit from the lift.
  4. i like the mellow a-frame idea too. i was also thinking about a decent quarter pipe...an actual snow one though so you can hit some big spins out of it...maybe put a gap in between two of them. also...getting idealistic here... a tow rope to service a specific line. maybe a jump line. how realistic would that be for the future?
  5. i said this in another section...higher table tops then the previous years in the intermediate park... maybe a line of three or so but high so they dont have to be kicky to get huge...this allows for a mellow yet steep lip. also (yea, i know im getting picky here) i'd like to see things a bit more neat - i hate when the park crew has gone through everything and there are those ice chunks all over the place in potential landing zones. and although not many people tried it, the tree jib last year was sick but you couldn't get very high off it...i would fly into it but the lip wasn't set up to allow more than around4 feet off of it onto the tree. but most importantly (and i know bear has done a decent job at this before) keep us on our toes! mix things up.
  6. i agree, its about time for a park change. how soon are we thinking for tables? they'll get some good blowing time in...also about big boulder. i agree, bear should really check and see what they are doing. everything is always so neat...and they have that 35, 45, 60 ft jump line which if just unreal. the only thing boulder is missing is some big table tops.
  7. i was there yesterday at around 10 in the morning expecting to be able to mess around on the park. the crew must not have touched anything becuase barely anything was hittable. why have the features if you are only going to maintain them when the majority of people are there? if i were to go to boulder that day, im sure everything would have been fixed up despite the light rain....not the over 1 ft deep ruts after every box. the park crew (one guy) didnt make an appearance until around 1. im disappointed bear, i'd like to see better and more park maitainence in the future. either take care of it the night before or that morning. i know it was drizzling, and there isnt much snow but make the best of it.
  8. the step down is better then everyone is letting on, the only problem is that it isnt completely level. but its perfect for tech tricks if you can compensate. i can't wait until it becomes a step up. the single rail handrail at the top should be set up with some side entry action, and i think that the longer down box at the top should be replaced with the shorter one or another feature so the long box could be put to better use. also, im hoping to see some high tables this year like the ones sno mnt had last season (25-30some ft gaps at around 15 feet high). these tabletops were perfect becuase the lips would get you huge but were gradual enough as to not be kicky...and i know they require a lot of snow but if tables like these are in the least bit possible, bear should look into them.
