  1. #2. yes, you ARE saying the park is bad, but now you're saying it's the advertisent agencies you despise for false advertising. Do you detest Polmolive for net giving you the bightest smile. Ford for not giving you the MPG they advertised on the car? etc...etc. Now in NO way am I defending Sno. I just think you're being too sensitive to their advertising agency. Like I said earlier, Sno is behind the curve in building parks. I also said BB,BC,Elk have GREAT parks. I DIDN'T say Sno had a great park! I DID say it was great for the sport that they went out on a limb to host the compititions, spend the money for the Zaugg (which many doubters said they'd believe it when they see it!...why would anyone say that? I won't mention names). Blow the snow they have. Spent the time with the snow cats kneeding and pushing the snow into the pipe.I did say I thought they're doing good for only being in the bussiness for two years. I remember (many years ago)when BB's terrain park was a telephone pole and a 55 gallon drum! It takes time to develope the skills to put together a decent park and crew. Would I stay away from the mountain if I were you? yes. It may be some time before it meets your standards. However, even you would have to agree (and you have)it's better than it was, and better than some.

#3. Why do we care if they claim it's a good park? Well, it is good...only good, not great. Would I like to see it meet your expectations? Yes, and everyone else's...including mine. But instead of bashing, I said "give input and guidence".

    now...#4....

    a. As you said.."do you really think the park is that good"? NO...I never said the park was that good re-read my post. I did however give a cheer for the money, time and effort they put into the COMPITITIONS

    b. "come on, are we going to hurt their feelings...they're a corporation". Well, they ARE a corporation...but moreover they're INVESTORS. They want to do well for the riders, thereby making money. The good thing for us is...they realize improvements need to be made and they have deep pockets to finish the job.

    c. "trying to get us to spend $70 a day to visit" uhmm you're off by 40%...weekend day tickets were $50

    d. "they can scoff at us like BB did and ignore us". Pesonally, I don't think they care either way if you come or not! If you were an X-GAMES competitor, I'm sure they would listen...and probably pay you tons of money also. They seem to have a gameplan in place. I would think that a busload of riders/skiers would be more important to their bottom line than your opinion....no matter how much you rant and rave

    e. "we rip on it because it's rediculous...sure they put up a22' pipe and it's going to be open for 4 weeks!" AHHHHM...so...that's a bad thing?? (You're beginning to lose credibility!)

    f. "they claim to be the best park in Pa. for two years now, and they haven't shown jack-shit for it" OH BOY! where do I start? so...sue the ad agency if it doesn't meet your expectations. I am not saying it is the best in Pa...I am saying, in two years they did a great job. Remember this is from scratch...three years ago they had nothing. Do I think they care about your hatred for their ad agency...NAW

    g. "one of the biggest compititions on the east coast"...well guess what? that line wasn't Sno's line...that was the ORGANIZATION'S LINE...hate THEM!

    h. "they were installing a giant concrete staircase"....WHAT?? I don't think so! where did you hear that/ read that?

in conclusion...let me find the ad agency number and you can give them your opinion!

    1. When you're a kid who spends all of your hard earned money on a 400$ season pass because Sno says they are going to really step up it is a huge disappointment (it has happened each year) Which is why i will most likely be going to boulder next year because of constant let downs.

    2. Whenever some knowledgeable person gives input on the park, some 50 year old racers team up and start a flamewar. And you guys have never listened to us before so why bother now?

3.A) Learn how to spell competitions :D

B)So how are we going to hurt their feelings?

D)This goes to your #2, Why bother giving advice when you just said they will never listen to singled out people?

E)It is a bad thing because it was a waste of money, unless they use the snow to stay open longer and have a May Day railjam (oh what do you know some input/advice) =)

F)They didn't start from jackshit, that was the point in having planet. Planet was supposed to be good at making unbelievable parks, meaning they should have had one from the get go.

G)Shouldn't sno have the say in what comps they want?

    H) Yea they put in a massive staircase for the Redbull One Hit Wonder at the plaza, it looked real sick.

  2. Those who are talking are still saying that the park still sucked for a comp of that caliber - including those who were hucking the 7's. Where are the competition pics? Does anyone know where we can find some?

Does anyone know if they are going to at least try to build something other than beginner stuff for this event? What a shame. Here is a chance for SNO to show what they got. Is there any indication at all that they are going to build anything this week?

Here is what was at the Jib Academy at Spirit Mtn MN 2 days ago...

if sno magically gets a nice jump line or even one nice 50-55 ft booter, I will be the first to say I was wrong about them and to never post negativity about sno ever again.

  3. Son, just keep an eye on your own *sshole around papasteeze. Seanyj made a dumb post that I corrected.

Okay, so just the facts, dy-lan: is 70 feet a "a super skinny "lane"? That's it. Can you answer that question?

70 ft between the pipe and the woods to the skiers' left side of the trail? I beg to differ. And how did you "correct" him? It started as an innocent post and you start calling him a bitch right away. How is that "correcting"?

  4. JordanA, I'm pretty sure I didn't call anyone immature.

BTW, nothing you ever said to me was over the line, or any worse than what I've said to you. Wanna bury the hatchet? Right now. Peace from here on in. You're call...

when you start giving respect to all of my friends and myself i will gladly make peace, but as of right now there is no peace.

  5. The landing was fixed. The jump is more like a step up now, but it went back to a table and not a cheese wedge. The landing is nice an long tho from what it use to be. The donkey dick was cut of last night, so no worries about that side, but I agree with the whole stair case idea. Planet is designing the park for the Rev tour and im sure it will stay the same for the jib academy. Im going to try to get some things moved around because I don't like the setup at all.

thank you nick for informing me, its appreciated.

ski jsut one more tihng, how can you possibly say the lane near the 22' pipe is wider than BB's park? its probably 1/3 the size.

  6. ski, you are such a little bitch. Why do you insist on flaming on anyone who has an opinion about sno? Wow you got one of the first park passes, WHO CARES! That doesn't mean you belong there, it just means you enjoy cutting off kids that are using the park to its full extent (at sno there is only so much you can do). And to answer sean's question, i doubt it will be good, but i hope im wrong. The first (and only) jump is a death trap. It's rutted, and the landing is virtually flat. They should take down the staircase or make a little bit of a jump onto it because its to short. I hit the side with the donkey dick and by the time I had enough speed to get on the rail i hit the donkey dick and died. not a fun time. Who is designing the jib academy course anyway?

I'm sure ski is going to flame on me, but I got what i wanted to say about the park and im done with this thread.

  7. A lot of people are posting that Sno's jumps suck and it's got me worried because I was planning on heading up this weekend.

They are having a HUGE comp this weekend with a slopestyle event.

How BAD can the jumps really be ??????

as of right now, theyre the worst ive seen them all year. i was up last night and youre lucky if you can do a stylish 3.

  8. Some of you people sound like the 80 year old men sitting around a Dunkin' Donuts all day complaining about their tax bills and why kids today don't pull up their pants.

why bring yourself into this ski?

haha sorry i had to ski can say whatever he wants back but thats all im saying

  9. ski, you should get your head out of your ass and read posts more closely. First, when i gave my opinion on the conditions, now when i asked what style wristbands they would be. And how exactly can you even say I always start with you? I made a post that didn't concern you one bit, yet you call me out. I think you should get out of anything that concerns a park because all you do is start flame wars and get the threads locked.

and thank you nick and dwy for the clarification

  10. The pipe looks almost done to me. The still have to add more snow and they need to add the run in, but other then that I don't see any problems with them not being able to finish it by the Rev tour. Starting Wednesday park crew will be in full effect with getting stuff ready for the Rev tour. Hopefully some big jumps get put up for this one.

if they do put up big jumps, please keep them up!!! i just got home from boulder and their jumps made me realize how much I miss big jumps. Can you guys please do exactly what boulder did for their park, if boulder can do it i dont understand why other mountains in PA cant.
