i'm in pottstown....debating a trip to blue saturday if there's a possibility for a handoff

so here's what i got, some who swear by waxing and others say i won't notice a difference. kinda torn, i would get it done at the mountain but we're staying in downtown slc and traveling to the hill every morning. what do you charge atomic? would you wax up our sticks? let me know as right now i can't figure out if it's worth it.

didn't get them waxed initially as i was told by armada it wasn't necessary, now if i do get them waxed any suggestions on shops? i'm in pottstown so anything within a reasonable distance is do-able. also, what should i expect to pay?

hey guys, looking for some information on ski waxing. my fiancee and i are heading out with a group to SLC in the middle of this month and i wanted to know if it's necessary to get our skis waxed before them. i just got back into skiing this year with new gear so my sticks have been on the hill 4 times this year (probably 6 before i leave)and my fiancee just bought new sticks with the same amount of trips. would you guys suggest getting our skis waxed before we go? what would be the advantages / disadvantages? any help you guys can provide is greatly appreciated.

so are they continuing to blow tonight as initially planned or are they done for the week? temps seem to be ideal.

so any idea on what the conditions are gonna look like on saturday? really want to make a trip out before my trip to utah but with this recent weather we've been having i'm afraid what those hills are going to look like. i checked their site today and saw they are closed today, it looks like they're going to get a snow shower or two prior to the weekend but i doubt it will be of any substance. can it be expected that they will be going back to blowing to get the mountain back in shape? it looks like the temps will be ideal but since this is my first year really hitting jf i wanted to know if anyone had any historical evidence. cheers! krs1

i haven't made it out to blue yet this season, on a jfbb kick, if i do make it out you can look for the guy with ar6's falling on his face in the park. but seriously, if someone can send it i'd be more then happy to paypal you whatever postage is.

so i've seen mention of paskiandride stickers and wanted to know if any are still available, figured i would throw one on my helmet to spice it up.

my fiancee and i will be there for dawn patrol, i'm black jacket/grey pants/green helmet/ ar6's.

regarding the bar, is there different food up there as opposed to the general concessions on the lower floor? i always think about heading up but end up settling on something downstairs.

so they usually get the mountain back in shape after a big day like that? I went to blue exclusively last year and haven't gone back since going to jfbb.and seeing how well maintained it is. Looking at the temps it seems like it'll be a cold one so I thought snowmaking was a possibility, planning on hitting east mt first this trip since I always miss out on the freshies.

title says it all, can't decide on this weekend or next. Supposedly some fresh snow for sat morning but was just out last weekend. Do holiday crowds get bad for mlk weekend? Trying to convince my fiancee for this weekend, thanks for your help

thanks so hypothetically i found a pair online for a steal, they're the same brand / size ive used for rentals all year and fit me really well. would it be stupid of me to get these without going to a bootfitter? i'm assuming yes, but i could essentially get a 500 pair of boots for 150.

i live outside philly, would you trust buckmans? i've heard mixed reviews

i figured i would get responses like this, are there brands i should stay away from....are some boots too heavy for park riding? like i said i'm just looking for suggestions when i show up at the store. i'm well aware that any high performance boot / shoe is specific to that rider, but i literally have no idea what to look for. are there particular features my boot should have?

so i've had some pretty good luck talking with people on this site and have almost completed putting together a decent set of sticks for next season. now i'm starting to look at boots, i'm completely in the dark when it comes to what type of boot i should be looking for. i'm well aware the best decision is made by going to see a bootfitter (which i plan to do) but wanted to get ideas for boots i should look for if i'm looking to use for them all mountain but have some park emphasis. also, what should i be expected to spend. thanks for the help.

what's the marker philosophy? i'm making a move on some rossi axial 120ti's so i'm steering clear of the twin cams.

really? people online are bitching about a pre-release problem with them. but honestly as someone who already has one blown out knee pre-release may not be a bad thing.

yea man, couldn't pass up a deal like that....know anything about the marker twin cam free's?basically got them locked in at 50 bucks brand new somehow.

so after years of boarding i'm back to skiing and just picked up some 08 ar6's from a member on these boards, i'm looking at bindings online (found a great deal on some marker 11 twin cam free's), and was wondering what size brake i should get. The spec's i've seen online say that this ski has a waste of 84. would i be covered with a brake with of 90 or should i bump it to 100? is there a big difference? thanks in advance for the help.

well it looks like i'm going to be picking up some armada ar6's, trying to figure out bindings that aren't too pricey. any opinions? I was looking at the salomon z10 / z12 ti's.
