Comparing bear creeks parks to a Ferrari is laughable. Bear creeks parks are the Geo Metro of terrain parks for sure!

At this point its just about getting the 65 days so they dont have to pay out.

I was riding from 9:30-11:30. back bear is looking alright but most of the trails have dirt spots and mud coming threw. Its pretty bad worst i have seen in mid January in a long time.

You can see dirt coming threw the snow already and its not even as hot as its going to get this weekend. Bear creek closes for the season 01/16/12. It was a good year!

lets take out two rails then put three in that is how you make a good park. no one wants good challenging rails.

They never work in the day.

Boulder had a great park opening day and they had alot less snow then bear. Bear creeks park crew is lazy and worthless.

I wouldn't be bitching at all i would just go ride other mountains till they open like i have been. But in your eyes in this thread bear creek can do no wrong. I just think as pass holders we should hold them accountable and make them try a little harder then they clearly are.

Kyle, I think the only big dick you know of is the one bear creek has so far up your ass you would try and ride down it with grass painted white.

The fact that they are only opening one trail sucks. I've been riding at bear for 10 years and it really seems like management cares way less about the skiers and riders that turn out and support them. They should at least have Kodiak open also. Its going to be a shit storm by 10 o'clock when all the holiday people show up.

I dont see how they will make it to the 17th. the snow up top is very thin and with all the rain coming its not looking good.

The park is the best its been all year no doubt. How long is bear going to last with the warm weather and all the rain coming? Its all ready pretty thin in spots.

I ride mostly mid morning in to the afternoon, im out of their by 4. The jumps could just use it on warm days when the lose snow piles up on them and that makes them annoying to spin off of. Every thing you complained about bothers me seeing it from the lift. they seem to mainly be younger kids.

I have nothing against you guys. I understand its a hard job but so many times you will only see one guy out their while the others are not doing any thing. I was their on Monday and would agree you did a great job. I just wish their were guys doing it every day at mid day. Also why is it so rare for you to rake the jumps?

Well they still could have built it the nights before they started blowing. At the start of the year they claimed they couldn't open because it was so warm you could watch the snow melt. I just think today is to warm to risk moving the snow around. Lets face it theirs not really going to be any snow making any time soon and they need to save as much as they can.. I dont know how much you guys ride but i have been their pretty much every day other then when at other mountains. and their is all ways ruts up to rails i didnt see any one rake at all yesterday in the afternoon. Park crew spends most of their day lapping the park or sitting their smoking.

I dont think bear is or will ever be that good of a park. The jumps are never the same 2 days in a row, the park crew will be out building nice lips one day and the next day you wont see any of them. And if they wanted to build cascade they should have did it over the weekend when it was cold, I knew they wouldn't go near it last night it was to warm and to much rain, they would have lost to much snow. yes this season sucks and it makes it harder but when you have cold temps you need to take that opportunity and build the park! I just looked at the webcam and their building it now i guess they dont care to save the snow.....

do you guys think you will be putting any more rails out in cascade? And its looking like it might get cold again after Thursday, any chance of a park build then?

Their lucky if they make it to the middle of February.lol the hip jump needs to go and all the small mini jumps are just a wast of space imo. when it gets cold this weekend can we please get a park build?

The lower part of black bear needs to be rebuilt badly, it hasn't really changed all year. On the positive side the 2 jumps in black bear are perfect right now. the top jump should be made bigger if possible.

So is their any Chance bear opens B or A Chair tomorrow? They should have good snow making temps tonight and tomorrow.

Tomorrow will suck at bear, its going to be all icy and worse then the first time they tried to open. As for the race team, im glad their gone they wont be missed.

still this is the first year that i can remember them not being able to open from the top.
