damn everyone just needs to take a chill pill or smoke a blunt like parkrider said. i mean yea any place that opens in november is good for anyone and it will give you the fix for a few days and then you want to go upo again so you can have fun and get ur fix all over again so everyone shold just take a damn chill pill,stop fighting and grow up no one in here is in second grade atleast i dont think there is.
We actually gotta put up with all the people inflooding from PA and NJ in Hunter for the first few weeks until PA and NJ ski areas open... We always joke that once Camelback and Mountain Creek open things get better... We can't wait for those places to open1!
Don't see me complaining about it.... I mean it svcks thats it's crowded - but it's cool.. I don't mind...

aight u go ahead and look back and see if i did any bashings of other mountains. people on here can back me up that your attitude is something I hate in skiers and riders. Dude just relax man, smoke a blunt or something to cool off. Just ride and have fun, and if people diss your mountain turn a cheek and press on. I hear tons of sh*t about the places i ride. What you think should be all that matters to you. Forget all this sh*t people say man, just ahve fun.
Word on da blunt... But people gotta realize that ski areas are places where people work and live... And being negative only hurts people - I defend where I live... It's important for me to support my community...
And I do it by bashing people that feel some sort of pathological need to bash Hunter... Cause - It's not nearly as bad as people make it out to be - once you get off of the two crowded trails... I'm riding almost every weekend -so I think I'm a good resource for this one.....

wow everyone just relax... Jesus people, everyone has their own opinions and views about diffrent mountains. Hunter is open way earlier than any resort here in PA. last season i was riding nov 18th. (something like that...)Everyone should chill out and just be happy you have a place to ride and call "home". Stop the bullsh*t and ride people.
Yeah - stop the bullshht by stopping the dissing of moutains and making generalizations about the people that go there...

You were on 215s because thats what people skied back then. SKinny staright race skis. And actually no im not a racer. I am actually a park skier. Now im gonna get a friggin lecture by you saying that , that isnt even real skiing. And i will be able to ahndle tougher terrain. Unlike you who will be skiing at Hunter your whole life. I will be skiing out west when i turn 18 and probally never skiing out here again. SO dont say shit.

I ski hunter maybe 8 times in my life....Most of those times it has not been the most enjoyable mountain I have been to. I am sure if I got there mid season, on a tuseday morning, the mountain would be a blast.
If I skied hunter daily, I might have a better idea of where to hide from the people, like I know at Camelback...But please if your gonna bash PA areas...bash blue, cause it sucks...even worse than hunter

Every ski area that is open has something that attracts people... And people have to live and work at these areas... Dissing an area is negative and is usually done by people looking to make themselves appear important...

I cant move move out as i am 15. And i do extend my ski universe by skiing in at least 3 different states a year.
ANd your right, i would get embarrsed in a mogul comp. Seeing as i just got new ski that are 176cm and last year i was on 153's, and it will take longer to get used to in the bumps. And i dont see what your takin ofense to, but my main reason for hating hunter is because of the crowds. And my main readon for hating you is for you saying, that people who say hunter sucks, are people who cant ski it. That it total bullshit. I dislike hunter, but hat doesnt mean i can t ski it.

Go ahead make excuses.... You can't ski bumps then you are JUST a racer...

Hunter is Hunter...we have the good stuff and the bad stuff....like any other resort.
If anyone can give me a resort I can give 3 reasons why Camelback is better than it, and I can give 3 reasons why camelback is worse....

I don't work in Hunter - but most of my friends do... They run resturants - are tradesmen - run B&B's -work at the mountain... etc...
Things are tough out there in areas with towns associated with them... And I don't like people trashing where I live and possibly stopping people from coming to what i consider to be an awesome place...
Especially snot nosed little 16 year old brats that talk crap...

I don't recall Huntah being a recent topic on this board. I don't hate Hunter (though I dislike crowds). This is my summary:Plusses:
1. Opens early, closes late in season
2. Management's mentality seems generally positive
3. DMC
4. The hunter card is a good deal
5. High speed quad
Minuses:
1. Gets mobbed early
2. Crowd can be obnoxious
3. Semilong drive
Neutral:
Challenging terrain. Often not open early and late season
I 've been kinda defending the Poconos... And did a search on HUNTER - notice I didn't use the name you guys call it... I won't get caught up in name calling even if there are many names people call pocono areas...
And I found Mumster posting negative things too... I was atad bit shocked that you jumped on the bandwagon...
You guys blast Hunter for being obnoixious BA HA HA!!!!!
Camelback skiers aren't any better.... But still tolerable...

Whats horse crap, It is true, everytime i have been there that is all i have seen. And what are you in a f*cking gang, sendin out your worst skier to face me. And alot of people on here could out ski you. Just rember though, fightining over the internet is like the special olympics, no matter the outcome, you are stiull a retard.

Shut the hell up, with we trash what we dont know how to ski. I am 15 and i could out ski and im not talkin out of my ass, its a fact. Hunter doesnt have anything extremely hard. There lines are long, and its a bunch of rude people wearing New York Jets starter jackets up there. And when i have been there, every hunter west trail i went down, there was atleast 5 people who were out of control and didnt know what they were doing the whole day.

The only people that hate Hunter are the ones that cant ski it...

I'm 42... Been skiing since 18... Learned to ski in the Poconos..
And guess what - I ready could care less what you kids think of me...
All i care about is you guys growing up and realizing that every mountain has something good to offer..
And that every time you act all "big" and diss a ski area - you may influence someone from not going...
And that hurts peoples income and livelyhood...
As far as not caring about CB skiers early season... No I don't - becuase they are just here for the day - when CB opens - they're going to go there..
What i care about is people who come for the weekends... And spend cash in town and support the town...
I stand by my statement that people that diss Hunter TEND to be people that just don't know how to ski it.....
I challenge anybody to come up and ski with me... If you can hang - you will have a good time... If not - I'll pcik up the cost of your lift ticket...
