  1. There will always be lines no matter what...

Not true if you know when to go. I will not go unless I can park in the first lot and get both quads to myself. (Ton of friends ski as you can tell). This can be achieved weekly all year if you go tues-thurs night. I don't ski mornings, ever. Get there at 7pm and ride till close with it completely empty from 8pm on. This is only CB's 2nd year that they started closing at 9PM weekdays which kind of sucks but it's still better than the surrounding hills imo.

  2. Nice pics, looks better than mid winter some seasons.

    I Lol'ed at:

"Long Trail Pollenator in the parking lot": Totally have no clue what you are talking about, crazy code words here /s.

    "12'-15' deep in parts" : 144-180" base = Siiiiick.

"we met up with some Camelback regulars and discussed differences in safety techniques between Blue and CB": Some of their safety techniques would likely get your ticket clipped... :)

  3. After skiing for 20 years and snowboarding for 4, I'm not gonna lie... I bought a pair of Mike Nick Skiboards and they were freakin' awesome man! (For ~ 32 minutes). Anyone want to buy a pair? They're "freakin' awesome" like I said. I mean, I quoted myself...how much cooler can that be?! Make an offer (no lowballing please, these are Mike Nick's).

  4. Real quick session yesterday at CB, 1 hour to be exact. Rockin a black tshirt from my old business and shorts. I was the only one there with shorts on an damn I was still really warm. Got some funny looks and comments, but to me it was funnier seeing people with long sleeves and hats on :confused lol. Soft snow of course, still pretty fast for how warm it was (about 70*). No bare spots anywhere I noticed. Hit up Nile Mile, and a few others and left for the Megadeth show in Scranton. Didn't want to be too tired to hit the pit... :rock

  5. I guess that kinda answered my question... Coverage good enough that I can bring my mid-season gear, or should I go with the rock board for Saturday?

Went to CB the same day. I gotta say CB has a deeper base, but still both mountains are holding up very well. I was rocking a tshirt and shorts at camel yesterday. Got some funny comments, but man I was still warm! Saw some people with hats on and shit and I was like WTF!

  6. I like your taste in music. I have seen all three of those bands and you are in for a show.

I threw that tidbit in to see if anyone would say anything :rock

I guess why not right?! I'll post up a TR with ample impromtu pond-skimming  It's supposed to be 73* by me today lol.

  7. So I got a couple of hours to kill in Tannersville before heading to Scranton to see Exodus, Testament and Megadeth on their RIP Tour. Annnnnnyways, I read Ashy said the conditions were really slow and required a lot of walking. It's supposed to be 65 degrees so t-shirt time, but is it worth going? What do you guys think? Also, full ticket prices still? $45 for ~2hrs kinda sucks.

  8. Cool pictures, but yeah I don't see any powdah!

Anyways, I got my ticket punched once for skiing "out of bounds" years ago when we had a storm like this one (1996 I believe). CB is one of the only ski "resorts" that won't let you stray from the beaten path. 99.9% of the time you can't anyways, but let the powder hounds enjoy their powder on the odd years that it is available.
