  1. yea the pictures are nasty as hell on their myspace thing
  2. AFAIK its just a jam format, i'd say go for it. the only stickler is its sponsored by Rome but seriously if you show up and your throwing down no one will care. Skiers at MC rip more than boarders most of hte time anyway, honestly I've seen 5 or 6 skiers get the rollercoaster rail and i've never seen a boarder get it. Not to mention we have skiers flipping in the pipe and spinning 5's and you never really see snowboarders doing more than grabs in there, although skiing a pipe is way easier so its not a fair comparison
  3. Yea and they only pull the cats out at night obviously (although once i somehow got like 15' behind a cat going down the park with the tiller grooming and carved some 30 second old corderoy, so glad no one saw me cuz thats like season pass getting ripped right there, but whatever) and so the tranny turns to shit and theres no way in hell to fix it. The creek wallride is a massive waste of snow, you could make a 40' hit out of it easily becuase you have a 10' hi tranny and then it slopes down the back gradually, and they had to make a level spot on a downslope so its so much snow. I'm definately looking forward to hitting up shawnee's park this year. As long as the rails aren't all ride on it should be fun.
  4. i hate music in the park becuase i ride listening to my own - plus the music always sucks and or is poor quality. just skip the money and put it into a new box or some more snowmaking
  5. the problem with those step up gap jumps is they are hard to maintain, can't put a cat up there once you cut the gap so they ahv e to be done by hand. Its not worth wasting the park crew's time for it. I haven't been to Bear Creek before but I'll probably take a trip down once you guys get the park all done (I'm a mountain creek local/season passholder) but the most popular stuff up here are the simple ones, but big. Like the 40 foot handrail and the 40 foot flat boxes and the 32 foot flat down double barrel, you can't have enough of those steezy features. A big rainbow or battleship box, an S Rail, just do that kind of stuff instead of these circus rail type things. Mountain Creek has a habit of making a few rails every year that just suck becuase they're more of a like get from one end to the other type thing instead of giving eveyrone a rail they can play on. I don't know what you rail inventory is but - a long flat box, a long flat rail, a long down box, a long down rail, a flat-down, a down-flat-down, a flat-down-flat, a rainbow, a battleship, and a C rail should be the minimum for your big park becuase those are the most popular features everywehre and you can get your riders the chance to hit it all. I remember some pictures last year and the rail setups looked good, but we have some rails up here that have a real low ramp coming on so you can't hit them straight on yo uhave to hit them from the side streetstyle, one or 2 downrails with that setup are great for learning too. A wallride, i dunno our wallride didn't go over too big, maybe it was just too large but not a lot of people were doing well on it. My suggestion is pretty much keep the rails simple and make the snow features/ramps for rails perfect. One rail that could be fun though would be like an 8' high or 10' high rail with a massive gap, we have one and few hit it but those that do get some respect.
  6. As long as its painted it shouldn't be too bad, considering its only 7' i'm not too worried, by the time you put a tranny up to it your only talking like 3 or 4 feet above the snow TOPS - creek's wallride is 1/3 under snow at the start of the day and by the end of the day you can see the bottom because the tranny gets rutted out
  7. Mountain creek has that setup every year, although this year they extended the rail to 60 feet. There is a video of it on creeks website. Last year they pulled it out for a quadruple step down rail that was retarded, i was quite mad. My personal favorite would be a big battleship box or a flat-down rail with a short flat and a long down section. ALways wanted to try a flat-down-flat rail and land on the down thats so smooth
