After a long hiatus, I am finally back to this board. What have I missed since May of 2004? Besides the new board, of course (which looks great btw).
-
It's gotten pretty bad over there though...even Satan was questioning the board's credibility now.
-
Good thing CB is still nice is some ways...would rather go there than Blue.

Well, yesterday had to have been the best trip I have ever had to Camelback. It didn't hurt that I took off of school to do it either for the 8-12 session. The conditions were unbelievable. It was nice powder, but extremely fast (especially Cliffhanger). Rhodo was sick...jumps are better with big lips. Besides it being warm and having no lift lines, this was one sick trip. Get off your lazy ass and head up, because this is the best time to do it.

I conned my mom into letting me take off school with my freinds next Wednesday to head up to CB early. There's my ski day.
-
That's what I thought, would be kinda cramped don't you think?
-
Hard is fast...and we also know he likes it fast.
The racing that is...

For Wednesday night...It was pretty good. Some stuff was icy, but not bad overall. Jumps were hot, and I noticed alot of crazy side stuff on the trails. Lift lines weren't bad. Overall, real fun day, got many runs in.
-
But the Meadows allows you to view all the idiocy (and craziness) of the park! SO it gets 3 pluses for that. The worst lift on the mountain is Cleo because technically its not a lift anymore, just a big peice of metal on the mountain collecting snow.
-
Or you could be like me and hit Rhodo ten times in a row. Hey, the Raceway Triple is the most confortable lift on the mountain and don't even try to argue. The racers get everything nice dammit.

JK fan. Bashed winshield and bloody meat bits? Classic. Bam's good, too, but only when he's really ruthless. And did you have a Steve O in your school? We did. You could get him to do or eat anything. He still holds the record for jumping off the lift chairs at CB in one night and I'd dare anyone to try to top him: 8 times. So if your on a CB lift and it starts bouncing all crazy, that was my man Stoney, doing an early-eject.
Its either that or my freinds trying to bounce the chairs on the Raceway Triple to a new air record. This also reminds me when someone I know fell off the lift at SHawnee from like 35 feet up. That was funny.

OK, I'll post the report for Wednesday. It was awesome! Yeah! Lot of powder to ice transitions though. Lot of wind. Not 2 many peeps. Park was fun. Pipe sucked. Raceway triple lift is comfortable. Needed many layers of gloves. Freind killed his wrist in box rail. I grinded box rail 90 degree slides 4 times in a row.
That's about all.
-
Did you do any tricks? or just jump?
Anyway, I like the hip jumps. But the landings on the jumps ice up quick. I finnaly landed a 90 degree grind on their box rail. Some snowboard kids we're hitting up the rail and tearing themselves new ass-holes. It was great.

I usualy take my blades in with me when I go in. "Lodge Security" be damned. It's easier than locking them and more safe to have them with you.
-
Probably too lazy to take out the old camera. Or didn't have their picture lackies in today.
-
Well, I went again this Wednesday, and it was still colder than balls, but the trails were allright, even though there was a lot of ice and slight winds. Parks were both great, Rhodo really suprised the hell out of me, I love the jumps with the slight tansfer gaps on them. Was semi-crowded, unlike the niceness of last week. Nobody I know was hurt, though I think I saw a medivac leaving when I came.

I may be able to go Fridays. But otherwise I dunno.
-
New park looks crazy. Can't wait to hit it.
-
Hell yeah, it was snowing like mad crazy out there. Awesome conditions.
-
Well I finally went tonight, and must say I had a friggen great time. It was cold as hell but the conditions were beautiful. Park was really good too, pipe especially. Lot of hurt people tho. One chick I think fell off the Stevenson lifts into a bunch of rocks, it didn't lock too good...I was watching like 20 ski patrol dudes surround her from the lift. And someone I ski with broke their hand. But otherwise great day.

Well looks like it will be 100%. Good job CB, you did it.
Bumps at CB
in Camelback

I'm sure CB could pull off a few bump runs on Asp or Rocket, but I think that a more serious bump trail should be considered if/when CB has its next expansion.
